It is arguably the most beautiful church of Burlington, by most accounts, with lovely atmosphere and beautiful sacral design. It can be a bit confusing first searching for this church because there are in a sense two St Marys - Old St. Mary's and the New St. Mary's. The Old one is a National Historic Landmark and is a smaller 18th century structure. But adjacent is the "New church". It was built in the middle of 19th century in brownstone Gothic Revival-style and modeled after a church in England. The distinctive character is enhanced by the bell tower with several bells and a spire on top. If possible try to go in. The church has a long nave and nice interior. Since 1986 it is on National Register of Historic Places . See also the cemetery. …

A well maintained lovely church. Although we could not view the inside of the church, the outside is worth the stop. Very well kept grounds.

St.Mary's is prevalant thru out Burlington and the structures are old and interesting, the church is divine and Doane Academy is an old school that has great values.
