New Jersey's Premiere Surf School - established in 2006. Offering something fun for all ages! Learn to surf with a private lesson, enroll a loved one in kids surf camp, or host a fun event for you and your colleagues. Looking for stand up paddle? Check out kids stand up paddle camps, and private stand up paddle lessons & tours at our L Street beach location on the Shark River in Belmar. Surf School locations also in Asbury Park, Bradley Beach, & Point Pleasant Beach.

Summertime Surf School is the best! My 11-year-old daughter just had 2 private lessons at the Asbury Park location.
The coaches and staff there were very friendly and helpful. The coaches were very experienced. They were good at teaching kids. The lessons were very efficient. My daughter has never surfed before, she stood up at her 2nd try and she successfully rode several tides in her first lesson! The coaches were considerate, they took good care of kids.
The online booking process was straightforward. The location is great, convenient to access, fine sand, nice beach and waives. There is a free public parking lot nearby.
We were very happy with the private lessons. My daughter will definitely take more lessons with them next summer.

My 9 year old was part of the afternoon surf camp at Asbury Park. We were super happy with his experience, the instructors were well organized and even on day one felt safe under their care as they paddled out. It was amazing to watch my son by day two catch waves. I highly recommend Summertime Surf and the experience my son had will be talked about for years. Looking forward to booking again next summer!

We had an incredible first time surfing experience with this group in Pt. Pleasant!! My 10 and 12 year old boys loved every minute of it and as parents we were extremely pleased with the professionalism and ATTENTION the instructors had with all the kids the entire week! We had a few day’s of rough waters and as a parent we were thrilled to see how safely they managed the kids and the lessons. We will certainly look into doing this surf camp again next summer!! Highly recommend it 🤙🏼

Booked a surfing camp in Bradly Beach location. This is the worse class ever. In the day that people are not allowed to go to water, kids were practically thrown to water unsupervised. After that day my son did not want to go to the water at all, forget about surfing. This is the worse experience for beginners, for kids who don’t know much about ocean. And administrator is not empathetic, but she said that she is sorry. So out of 5 days, we used just one. There was no refunds, no store credits, not even a desire to motivate, encourage the kid. So really good place to test if you are a “good parent”. If you don’t push your kid-you are weak, but if do push your kid then you are strong and important. Just then have to be ready for psychology sessions and water phobia. This place should not conduct business this way! Especially that they did not do any assessments, like the kids ability to swim or deal with big waves. Shame.

our 4 year old son was part of 'Keiki camp' with SUmmertime Surf in Point Pleasant Beach this summer, he already cant wait to go back again later this summer. The staff was so amazing with the little kids. The conditions were challenging in the beginning of the week but the staff navigated them with confidence and ease, making sure the kids stayed safe while learning about the ocean, and surfing. They had such a great time I cant recommend them enough!

My six year old and I took a private lesson. The time we were scheduled for had high tides and we'd just had a big storm, not an ideal time for a beginner lesson. The instructor suggested a better time and we rescheduled to better conditions the next day. We wound up having ideal conditions and a wonderful time! The instructor was excellent with my daughter and we both learned a lot! She even managed to get up a few times, she's hooked on surfing now. Thanks, Brian!

I took 3 children ages 14, 12, 10 to Summertime Surf. They can not stop talking about how much fun they had. They had no experience of surfing before. Excellent attention to each child. Very safety aware. Children had one on one attention during the group lesson. The children should be strong swimmers to be able to handle waves. EXCELLENT time had by all.

We got a private lesson for our 7 year old son. The teachers are awesome with kids. My son wouldn’t stop smiling afterward so we signed him up for another lesson the next day. 2nd day different teacher but same great experience. Definitely be back for more.

My son has done this surf camp for the last 3 summers. It is a great camp for all levels of surfers, especially beginners. The instructors are great. My son is going again this summer for another session. Highly recommend.

Where is there paking for the stand up paddle board lessons? I heard it is not that available. Planning to take friends this July.

When I went for the surf lessons in Belmar I had to park on the street. I didn't hear about a parking lot/area specifically for the school.
