This water park exceeded our expectations. It was our first time there and didn't know what to expect. However, the place was adequately staffed with many lifeguards, there was a lot of food options. The water rides were pretty varied and there was something for everyone. Our 7 year old daughter had a really fun time and enjoyed herself. Highly recommended!

Do not recommend going. Haven't done anything else besides going to this water park on our vacation and my 5 year old daughter got a debilitating stomach bug. Almost to the point of a hospital visit. Will never be visiting again.

Good parking in close proximity to other local attractions, this water park is convenient and clean. Staff is friendly. Park is well laid out for a confined space, and directions to attractions are clearly mapped and marked out. Plenty of food options. Water park, Flow Rider, and mini golf all on site. Prices available by the hour, and they’re pretty reasonable as long as the lines aren’t long. We go on weekdays, so it’s usually ok. My teen loves the flow rider and my younger son is a fan of the slides. Good experience overall.

Our kids had an awesome time here. Lots of fun on the big slides and in the kids area. The covid safety measures are...not perfect. I get it's an outdoor water park so no patrons are wearing a mask, that's fine. The people working were mostly masked, but I certainly saw some that weren't at times, e.g. the guy giving out the tubes, some lifeguards had them off their noses, etc. I saw that tubes were usually sprayed down but they weren't too vigilant, if someone gave in a tube and somebody else needed that type they would give it back out without a rinse. However the biggest issue I saw was the blue mats in the racer slides are not cleaned at all, which seems especially weird since you put your face right near it - they should have someone by the rack spraying down any mat that comes in.

Usually my family and I have a wonderful time here. We went Aug 2020 and were so appalled by the social distancing safety measures in place. There were tiny yellow dots on the ground as a guide, but other than that, it was a mask less free for all. There is a narrow walkway to get up to the slides and people were continuously clustered, moving in all directions. They said that it was at 50% capacity, but it seemed very crowded. We were at Fantasy Island the night before and were so impressed. We felt very safe there. I did not feel safe at Thundering Surf.

Let me start by saying I am not one of those people... We have been coming here for many years and yes, this year was different all together I would at least expect some basic safety measures put in place. After reading their website and even calling before hand, I thought it would be a different experience.
There was absolutely no social distancing, absolutely no one enforcing use of masks in “high traffic” areas and I did not see one ounce of Disinfecting of any surfaces the whole 2 1/2 hours I was there. They did not even have the seats in the seating area marked off by 6 feet increments. Everyone literally on top of each other. There was no soap in the women’s bathroom or hand sanitizer outside of the bathrooms available. Even after I went to the front desk to report it, it was not replaced. Had I not paid a small fortune for a party of 6 I would not have stayed. If you don’t want to risk contracting Corona wait until next year to visit.

My family and I were here last year and never had the same issue as we did this year.
Although this place is a lot of fun. Especially for young children, the staff is rude. Not only rude, as a parent I had concerns for safety. The lifeguards were not paying attention and clearly did not care.
On one of the big slides, my three year old went under the water. The lifeguard just looked at him, looked away and never even checked to make sure he was okay.
In the children’s area, many children were going down the slide while the lifeguards were looking away and not paying attention.

Our 3-year-old grandson loved this water park. He was shy at first but loved the water squirting from the ground, the slides and the lazy river by the time we left. We purchased a 2-hour pass and had an option to add another hour if we wanted to extend it to three hours. Two hours was perfect for us and it started raining exactly 2 hours later. (No refunds for rain unless there is thunder and lightning) The crowd was controlled by colored checkerboard bands. Someone would announce that the time for the green checkerboard bands to leave was now. An hour later, they would announce that it was time for the blue checkerboard bands to leave, etc. There was plenty to do and short lines. There was a snack bar and very friendly staff everywhere. We will visit again.

This is a bit of an engineering feat how they’ve managed to pack all they did into the space that they did.

The two hour pass is plenty and I’d recommend going in the morning before it gets to busy and the lines draw out a bit.

There are six tube runs, a speedy head first race, a lazy river and a flow rider for the bogey board for adults.

There’s also a kids park that has a little splash pad and a variety of slides for them as well.

It’s a good excursion for a couple of hours for the family to get away.

This was a great day for our family to go to water park. It was not packed. Had chance to go on the adult water slide and lazy river. My son got to go around the kid's portion of the waterpark as well. It is a small park and can be expensive.
