Bay Head is a small town beach which is nice if you want peace and quiet. It's geared more towards residents, as there is no public bathroom. But if you stop in at a local restaurant for lunch, you can these use their facilities. The...More

The sand sitting areas remain sparse at high tide, although they seem to have returned a bit since major storm depletion. They do become crowded in high season. Badges are required and can only be obtained at one off beach location at the center of...More

I spent a lot time in Bay Head in my teens, and I biked here and stopped up at the beach this summer. The beach is beautiful even after the damage that Sandy caused, and the town still as charming as ever.

Bay Head Beach is just one block from the Grenville Hotel. I like this beach because it is clean and this beach is not crowded

Worth a day trip, especially during the week. Amazing that it is in good shape already given Sandy. Rough sand, but clean and safe.

Quiet, beautiful seaside gardens, a hidden gem. If you like a beach for a "beach" - waves, clean sand, beautiful gardens and old homes - this is the town on the Jersey Shore for you. Bay Head is the crown jewel of the towns in...More

There are not public restrooms. At this time of year, you can certainly get on the beach without any kind of badge, but it's obviously weather-dependent. We use the Grenville Hotel in Bay Head as the address since it's... More
