Pretty neat place to see

We had some time and decided to walk the 217 steps to the top! Wish we could have spent longer at the top as it was very pretty view!

Even after sunset, enjoyed the warm summer night at this attraction. Maybe even more special with ole Barney all lit up and a glowy sky backdrop. Plenty of other visitors about too. Visiting during the day would work too since you can get inside. Lots of shops including one of the older, quaint ice cream shops nearby.

My photos from the top of the lighthouse don't do it justice. Museum at the bottom have lots of information about the history of the Federal lighthouse system and this one in particular. After the climb up and down, take path to end and walk along the rock hefty for a while. Beautiful and not too challenging.

We decided to take a ride up to see the lighthouse and ended up having a beautiful walk at sunset with many other like-minded people. Gorgeous view, lovely walk.

Went for the first time to to visit the lighthouse and park. The lighthouse was really cool! The beach and park were very clean and really beautiful. The admission to the lighthouse to go up is $3 per person. It is 217 steps to the top, really beautiful views from the top. There is a pretty walkway that goes out... More

Excellent way to see the inlet and walk the stones out to the second lighthouse. The sights and sounds of the boats heading out to see was mesmerizing to the youngsters and the walk invigorating on s warm summer day. Great family experience. A must experience to get a full flavor of a historic lighthouse and Inlet.

If you have a couple of hours. To spare on your trip to LBI travel up to the northern tip of the island to visit the state park and lighthouse. Ample free parking and access to the visitors center and paths to the beach, pier and lighthouse. For $3 adults and $2 for kids you can climb up the lighthouse... More

While we didn't get to go up into the lighthouse, my girlfriend and I enjoyed the walkway along the water just outside of the lighthouse. The ocean meets the bay right around here, and it was a beautiful day when we went.

Since we were staying at Barnegat Light, the lighthouse is right around the corner. I have a great love of lighthouses and the shore but I am no a beach person, per se. Love the ocean sound and smell. The lighthouse and its grandeur should not be missed. Beautiful views from the point.

Always enjoy coming here. A quiet spot at the Jersey shore - beautiful views. Easy to spend the day - bathrooms, free parking, picnic tables, walkway, ocean breezes. A small fee to climb to the top of the lighthouse, and beach badges (boo) are needed if you step foot on the beach on the Atlantic Ocean side.
