One of the locale’s and longtimer’s favorite spots for coffee and baked goods. Great little area with Adirondack chairs outside to sit around and wake up with your am brew.

Viking village is a quite, low key place for a little specialty shopping. You can also get a coffee & watch the commercial fishing boats come in & unload the boats. You can also go on the large fishing boats 1/2 or full day tours...More

Very quaint shops with interesting items, many one of a kind. Lots of nautical things. A nice little side trip while on LBI. Favorite shop was the Sea Witch. There are also fishing boats to check out. And a fresh fish market.

Had some time to kill on a rainy day in LBI and we decided to go to Viking Village! Two adults and 3 kids age 17-20 were in our group. There was a small "museum" type of hut in the shopping strip where you can...More

This is a fun local strip of shops and my family loves coming...plenty of places to wander in and out of, and of course grab an iced coffee or ice cream at the How Ya Brewin' coffee shop.

Very disappointed in the little village here. The pictures and description on line made it sound like you could spend an hour or so here. Not too many shops or things to do. The boats were interesting to see. The museum was closed

Barnegat Light question (5 Replies)
Barnegat Light: We have a house in BL next week. This is new for us; we normally go to Bethany Beach, Delaware. What can you tell me about this area? I know to buy seafood at Cassidy's in Viking Village. Other advice? Good restaurants? Fun bars for the young adults in the group? Is there any good way to explore the islands to the west and north that appear to be undeveloped? Thanks, Jennifer.

There is plenty of osprey, peregrines, and foxes... and more wildlife that I'm just not thinking of right now. I have photos on my fridge of Island Beach SP foxes. 1 was in a parking lot as it approached the auto. This fox wasn't shy of humans and/or autos.
