This is a very rustic campground. So if that is what you like, then go here. Otherwise do not. If you want showers, bathrooms with running water, swimming, you do not want to go here. It is for campers that what to be pack to...More

This place is a gem if you're looking to get back to nature. Built by the civilian conservation corps during the depression, it is very rustic with pit toilets and no showers. But it is beautiful, and much quieter than most campgrounds. Camp sites are...More

Great place to go if you are wanting to get back to nature. This is an unspoiled glimpse into the "wild side" of southern New Hampshire. You need to be a self sufficient camper and bring bug spray, but you will see and hear wildlife...More

My son got several leaches on him. I had them on me too but I noticed before they latched on. There are signs that say you shouldn't swim because of leaches.

Stayed in site 37, which can be a very long walk to lug all your stuff up but it is worth it. Site 37 has a path leading right to the water which is where we put our tent. We woke up right on the...More

This is a very nice state park and it is secluded. The camp sites are laid out well and there are some private sites that can only be accessed by hiking, some only by canoe. We had a hike in only site and the wildlife...More

We camped here Labor Day weekend. We will definitely come back again! We stayed at site 12, which was a little more open than we normally prefer but it was a great site for a family. It was on the water, but the site was...More

Beautiful park. Enjoyed the quiet nights sleep and the sound of loons during the evening. Before leaving the next morning, stopped at the office and waited for staff to arrive so we could pay. The woman that arrived was unsavory to say the least. Maybe...More

We only camped here one night because the campground at Mt Sunapee State Park wasn't open for the season yet. This campground was good for its quiet, rustic feel, with plenty of loon sounds. I wouldn't recommend camping here in May since the black flies...More

I think your best bet would be to call the main state park office at (603) 271-3556. When I looked at the park, it was with a family reunion in mind so I really didn't scope out the camping sites. I did see camping near the... More
