Some interesting info. Very small. Will take an hour at the most to see the whole thing. Admission is free and the kids seem to like it. Good thing to do with the kids on a school vacation day. Also not open every day.

The science center had beautiful views. I would recommend the boardwalks on the beach. You can see many species of wildlife.

As of today they are closed for renovations. There is nowhere online, on their website or when you call their phone. Actually call their number and it states they are open and their hours. We planned to visit the center with 2 car loads of small children and had to make other arrangements quickly due to lack of information on their closer. I don't think it would have been hard to update a website or at least change the message on your answering machine. Extremely disappointed and frankly wouldn't recommend anyone going there due to their lack of caring about visitors.

This site was free and fun and educational all at the same time. It was very uniquely done and interesting to adult friends and a 6 yr old child. There were hands on activities and great audio and visuals. Reminded me of an Epcot Center exhibit! Nature trail we would've hiked on if the weather had permitted that day. Interesting security system on the way in to the parking lot as it is an energy site.

A friend of mine works at the nuclear power plant and told me about the Science Center, so my wife and I had to check it out. Even though the place is geared toward school children, we found it quite educational. The touch pool was even fun to play in. The board walk nature trail around the outside was a pleasant walk. I'd say to give yourselves a little over an hour to take in the Science Center and the nature trail. The huge lobster is also fun to watch.
When I mention this place to my local neighbors and friends, no one seems to know what I'm talking about, which is too bad.

We found this center completely by accident. The website didn't give us the address, and calling the number on the site have us a recorded message with very little information (again.) We got to the center, and despite being the only people there, were not even greeted by the person behind the desk. The main reason we went was for the touch pool. We probably could have gone to the tidal pool at Wallis Sands and found more sea life to hold :( considering the trouble we had finding the center, we were disappointed. We did not walk the nature trail, so that might have redeemed the trip...

When we first visited this location approximately two years ago, it was fabulous. When we went yesterday, we were a little disappointed with the lack of maintenance...but for free, it is still a decent activity and the kids had fun for approx an hour while we made our way through.
There is a neat simulation ride at the beginning of the tour, which allows kids to see what it is like for workers at the station to go below the ocean. Excellent exhibits on how electricity is produced and gets to your home (although this is really for older children with some science education, younger kiddos will require further explanation from you).
Note that this location is only open on Tuesdays!
In the hopes that someone from this attraction reads these reviews, I will note as follows:
1. Touch Tank - on our first visit, it was full of big starfish, live sand dollars, crayfish, crabs and other sea life. This time there was only one little crab, one little hermit crab, and a huge (but very dead) starfish. Kind of grossed the kids out.
2. All of the exhibits with a computer monitor interaction encountered errors. :(
3. The bike exhibit worked but seems like it is in need of service, as the pedals don't go around very evenly.
4. ball/crank exhibit only picked up the ball every 5th try (we found that if we went very slow, it would pick up the ball).
