If you enjoy spooky style over substance, this is the guide for you. If you want to see inside witch and occult-themed shops but not get even a glimpse inside historic homes that are pointed out in passing, then this is the tour for you. If you want to ignore the actual history of how the Salem hysteria actually began and spread, this is the virtual tour for you. Finally, if you want to see endless examples of headstones instead of a few carefully chosen to teach about 17th century symbolism and styles, then you’ll enjoy this presentation. The redeeming value of this online presentation—and what I expected it to do—came in an email the next day. Overall, this is a tour for those who embrace the tourist trap “candles and witchcraft” version of Salem, MA.

I wasn't sure when signing up what this would be like. I did the Virtual Haunted Cape Cod tour. WOW! This was really fun and entertaining. I just signed up for two more. Roxie is a true storyteller! Her voice is wonderful to listen to. Definitely recommend!

I did the virtual Haunted Lighthouse Tour. The buildings are beautiful. Roxie did a fantastic job explaining the history of the light houses. It was so interesting. Loved the human stories too. Very entertaining and would definetely reccomend!

I did the virtual tour of Salem. Maybe it's lost something by having gone virtual. Roxie certainly knows her stuff, and the history/stories of Salem should have more pride of place in her tour. I quickly tired of hearing about all the little shops at the beginning of the tour, before moving on to the places connected with the witch trials. I am all for supporting local business wherever we can during COVID-19, but this content needs to be at the end of the tour so that those not interested in shops could sign off. I also tired of looking at more or less every single gravestone in the Charter Street cemetery. A few of the most iconic ones would have been more than sufficient.
