We had a wonderful time on this walking tour. We have done other events with Roxy and she never disappoints. We walked all around the Portsmouth area downtown making stops along the way to places such as the book and bar and the library restaurant just to name a few. As always Roxy gives such a great history about each place along with real life ghost stories associated with each place. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to experience the historic district of Portsmouth along with some ghostly fun!

The Haunted York Village Tour was excellent. I enjoyed the evening with my teen daughter. Roxie is an engaging and knowledgeable tour guide whose enthusiasm and passion for all things that go bump in the night is contagious. She spins historical tales that sweep you back in time, giving you a glimpse into the fears and beliefs of our early settlers. Roxie's tales are added to by the rolling fog, a rustling of fallen leaves around a gravestone, and the crispness of an October evening. This tour was thoroughly enjoyable and brought back my childhood memories of growing up in New England and the hair prickling feelings of dark nights and fall woods.

The cemetery tour I attended was absolutely amazing. Our guide was quite informative and full of stories and talent. I went unsure if I was a believer and left knowing each story she told was true and real. I highly recommend attending any event where Roxie is the host and story teller. New England Curiosities fills your mind with curious thoughts and leaves you with a sense of wonder.

My wife and I were looking for a date night activity and I stumbled upon this haunted historic tour of downtown Portsmouth. I appreciate history and have learned a lot of Portsmouth's history and what makes the town unique through my job. We had the best time listening to Roxie tell tales of the City and run through various famous people, buildings and haunted past times. Roxie was energetic, fun, extremely knowledgeable and professional. The tour was well planned, and filled with lots of laughs. I highly recommend any of Roxie's tours for anyone who is looking to educate them on the City/Seacoast, appreciates ghosts/haunted stories, or just wants to try something new. Thank you Roxie for preserving history in such an enjoyable manner.

Roxie hosts a wonderful, personal, truthful tour which explores the whole provable history of Portsmouth (even if just a small portion of it). This was my first ghost tour. I was wary, and hopeful that the night’s guide would not rely too much on sensationalism in order to keep guests entertained. Roxie does the opposite. She keeps her curious followers engaged simply by relaying the facts of downtown Portsmouth’s history and not glossing over the darker parts, the city’s shortcomings when it comes to racial or social tensions, and she discusses only credible sources of supernatural occurrences. I could not have asked for a better informed guide. It’s clear Roxie has a passion for what she does and wants to leave her audience with a well-rounded impression of this city’s history, flaws and all. I cannot recommend this tour enough!

We loved our ghost tour in Portsmouth. Roxie is an incredibly gifted storyteller and communicator. We enjoyed every minute learning spooky things about the city we've come to love. I highly recommend this tour. I have no doubt we'll book something else of theirs in the future.

I grew up in Portsmouth and have done a few Haunted Walks over the years but tonight's walk with Roxie was the best! I learned many stories that I hadn't heard before (although I've read all her books). My 14 year old daughter who adores anything paranormal and history related was in her glory! Her new goal for adulthood is "to be Roxie"!!! Love it! Roxie is so charismatic and an amazing storyteller...she sucks you in from minute one and leaves you wanting to learn more. Highly recommend any of her walks!

Roxie Zwicker has a wealth of information about New England haunts, and shares it in an entertaining way. She’s quite a storyteller, and demonstrated with dowsing rods how the spirits can communicate. Fascinating details of early gravestones and the symbols of the carvings.

Amazing experience.
I highly recommend enjoying this for yourself. So much more than I expected I learned new facts about historical events that took place in Portsmouth. Ghost stories and legends were brought to life before our eyes by our magical tour guide Roxie Zwicker.
Walking along the beautiful streets melds the past and present together to create a wonderful blend that one can't stop drinking in.
I would love to go again.

If you enjoy spooky style over substance, this is the guide for you. If you want to see inside witch and occult-themed shops but not get even a glimpse inside historic homes that are pointed out in passing, then this is the tour for you. If you want to ignore the actual history of how the Salem hysteria actually began and spread, this is the virtual tour for you. Finally, if you want to see endless examples of headstones instead of a few carefully chosen to teach about 17th century symbolism and styles, then you’ll enjoy this presentation. The redeeming value of this online presentation—and what I expected it to do—came in an email the next day. Overall, this is a tour for those who embrace the tourist trap “candles and witchcraft” version of Salem, MA.
