Classic old theater that is simply wonderful. We sat in the balcony for a Met Opera production of Carmen, seats are comfortable, great sight lines, sound system was outstanding, warm friendly staff. The place is beautiful and meticulously maintained. Easy to get to with plenty...More
Saw his 2018 review show last night. LMAO!
We are already planning to attend the 2019 show. The Music Hall is a treasure and now that our kids are teens we can take them without the stares we sometimes received at other venues!
I've lived in New England my entire life and cannot believe it took me 50 years to go here. The Hall is historic, quaint, charming and well-utilized. There is plenty of well priced parking nearby and the venues hosts a wide variety of events each...More
The holiday Pops has open seating so there's a huge rush for seats. People in wheelchairs must use an elevator which accepts one wheelchair at a time. By the time my husband (in a wheelchair) and I got to the seating area, the general public...More
I visited this venue for the first time to see Elf this holiday season. When you walk in the bar area and seating is adorable. The staff are pleasant and helpful and once you enter that hall—-wow! Beautiful ceiling and chandeliers. Nice welcome and recognition...More

We took our granddaughters from Maine ages 4 and 8 for Saturday's matinee. Being a big fan of the movie Elf I wasn't sure if the musical would live up to my expectations. And how do you imitate Will Ferrell. Well this cast and their...More
The Music Hall is the closest cultural mecca to southern Maine and seacoast NH. Movies at the Loft are excellent, Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra is good, but Live from the Met operas and Opera Connection talks are supreme.

For concert halls, this one is not very large, perhaps seating 800. The theater is faithfully restored with a beautiful ceiling, decorations, comfortable seating and ample stage space. The acoustics are excellent. There are metal pillars obstructing some view of the stage in the back...More
