From planning through farewell (which was not final as I will be back!) Redline Guiding provided excellent and professional service for 3 incredible day hikes in various parts of the Whites. Owner Mike matched me with guide Mike Maciel who listened and incorporated my feedback, clearly communicated, and helped me achieve what I could not have done on my own. He ensured I was challenged but not exhausted and was patient, thoughtful, and flexible. I was able to experience the beauty of the brooks, rocks, and views at Zeacliff, the Franconia Ridge loop, and Mt. Chocorua. An added bonus was that he took some pictures throughout the day and sent them to me each evening, which I also appreciated.

I highly recommend this guiding service for nature lovers of all abilities!

Mike was amazing, from the get go he did a great job communicating, worked extremely efficiently and was helpful in guiding us along in the process. The day of went extremely smoothly and Mike did an excellent job officiating the ceremony. I would not hesitate to recommend mike for your special day!

As an avid trail runner and hiker took the two day Wilderness Navigation course to help get ready for a run/hike event in Scotland next spring. Had excellent and practical Day 1 instruction with Mike on how to use map & compass to properly orient oneself both on a map and outdoors. Day 2 further solidified these skills with a bushwhacking expedition with Ken who, along with excellent guidance (when needed) also provided much interesting information about the area we were exploring. I would wholeheartedly recommend this course and Redline Guiding to anyone who spends a lot of time outdoors.

Had an incredible time today hiking the Franconia Ridge today. I’ve hiked the Franconia Ridge a few times but never in the winter. Mike Maciel was my guide. He was very patient and did an excellent job letting me enjoy the scenery and at the same time teaching how to snow shoe and gave great winter hiking tips. I highly recommend Redline Guiding.

Highly recommend this outfit for hiking and guiding. I had never been to New Hampshire, hiking or otherwise. I didn't have time to research & figure out trails suited to maximize my time in the area or the fall season. Literally booked this trip last minute and relied on the the guides to reccomend possible trails based on my recent hikes. If you are in search of experts to lead you through this territory...definitely book with Mike & Redline guiding. I got a chance to hike with Arlette, a lovely person who is not oinly incredibly experienced, she shared great tips & suggested trails that totally matched up with what I set out to do & see...beautiful, challenging. Being from Texas I had never hiked in early fall, first frost kind of weather nor did I even know what that would look like. I definitely finished my 2 day hiking trip with a strong desire to comeback and spend more time exploring these beautiful mountains and would definitely consider even a winter hike after this trip !!!

I know this is another 5 star review but it is well deserved! The owner took me and my 74 year old mother out on a half day private tour. He took us to a few popular can’t miss spots as well as some places we could’ve never experienced without a local. He kept us laughing and enjoying the White Mountains as we were chauffeured around the beauty of the National Forest.
On top of the tour, Mike made us a video of our day of escapades for us to enjoy and share with friends and family. This guy is talented and knows his stuff. Passion is infectious. Thanks Mike!

We had originally planned a late afternoon outdoor Jackson, NH wedding in January when Mike agreed to be our JP/officiant. Little did we know that on the day of the wedding there would be a huge snowstorm with below zero wind temps. Nevertheless, Mike showed-up on time and with a big smile on his face. The wedding went off without a hitch. Mike was so flexible and easy to work with. My wife and I would highly recommend Mike as a wedding officiant...especially if a snowstorm and arctic temps are in the forecast. (-:

Loved this two day hike all planned by my Redline Guide Mike M. Sunrise on Mt Bond was stunning along with breakfast in the Pemigewasset Wilderness, it doesn’t get much better than that. Then added on a day hike up to Mt Liberty & Mt Flume. Happened to be 9/11/20 on Mt Liberty. We met a hiker with Old Glory did a photo and made another memory, never to be forgotten.
When you travel with an experienced seasoned guide service you get the most out of your outdoor adventure!
Thanks again to the Mikes!

Joined a 3 day/2 night backpacking trip with two other women through Redline Guiding. It was my first backpacking trip and I would definitely recommend Redline to others, whether or not it is your first time.
Our guide, Deb, put a lot of thought into our route and left some options open depending on how our group was feeling (i.e., leaving an additional car at the end of another trail). She planned a hike to The Horn (from 52 with a View) and an additional peak if we were feeling up to it.
She spent plenty of time discussing our options with us and helping us lighten our packs and attach our gear before we took off. She answered many questions from us. She has lots of experience hiking in the White Mountains and elsewhere, and shared much of her knowledge and tips. She checked in with us about our goals prior to and during the trip.
Our campsite was located near a beautiful pond and we enjoyed learning to set up camp there. We slackpacked the next day to The Horn.
Lots of great memories and photos!

This Tuesday past, I and a friend set out for an experience of a lifetime. Well at least my lifetime. I booked this guided trip several months in advance and the anticipation with a bit of trepidation unfolded immediately as the guide assigned to me gave me a call and asked me many questions so he could plan the perfect day that aligned with my interests and skill set. His enthusiasm and reassurance put all of my fears to rest almost at once. The company provided me with a detailed list of what would be needed, so that I was fully prepared. A few days before our day my guide texted to make sure all was in order and to ask if I had any questions. We met at base camp early in the day and drove to the trail head. Mike Maciel my guide was so congenial and we hit it off immediately. To say that my trip was amazing, epic, or any other adjective seems to fall short of what for me was an emotional day. To have hiked for 9 hours and close to 10 miles was something I never thought I would or could do. Was it fun .. yes, was it hard …indeed! Mike said it best when we were perched on top of Thoreau Waterfalls when he stated: you have to work for the good stuff, that view only attained by hiking 4 miles of fairly rugged terrain was most definitely the good stuff! He sure hit the nail on the head. Honestly I saw things in nature I never dreamed I’d see. I am almost 64 years old and never dreamed I could have accomplished the day I had. I feel that Redline Guiding made it all happen. Mike not only planned the perfect day, he was flexible and allowed me to set the pace. This experience changed me and will be with me for a long time… perhaps forever. I’m not sure any other service could have delivered the day that I and my friend shared! I would give Redline and My guide Mike a million stars if I could. Hope this helps someone else choose the one company that really did make such a difference.
