Being a local I have hiked this trail over 500 times. I usually start from Echo Lake and climb up the Bryce Path to a junction with the White Horse Trail. Parts are steep, but short. From there proceed up the White Horse Trail to the top. The loop takes you back down on the White Horse Trail. Most people... More

White Horse Ledge is located in Echo Lake State Park and it is a great place to visit - you can hike, swim, rock climb, or just enjoy the view. I've hiked neighboring Cathedral Ledge and have rock climbed the face of White Horse Ledge.

This is where I first was roped up, age 6. A great spot for new climbers, those wanting to learn, and as you move to the left, more and more fun terrain. It can get busy, so show up early.

Easy hike. peaceful and relaxing. Viewing areas up top and we followed the trail to hike out and reconnect with peaceful down time. It was close to the B & B where we stayed.

We took the steep hike from the hotel parking lot. Two 60ish ladies, one in not so great shape (hint, not me) Well, the way up was steep, and rocky, and the fallen leaves were knee deep. Made it had to see the obstacles in the trail. We made it up without misshap, but sister complained a lot. Haha! I... More

The white mountain hotel restaurant is an excellent place for dinner. All prices are reasonable and not out of line. The food was great, the chef does waders with the sauces. The pork chop was superb, my wife's lamb was very tender and was cut with a fork . I would highly recommend.

We did a long rock climb here and it was tremendous for two out-of-shape parents and their very fit 18-year old daughter. We have done a lot of climbing so didn't need a guide but saw guided parties having fun.

This mountain is situated above Echo Lake in Echo Lake State Park and is aptly named. The entire mountain, and the ledge, are entirely reflected in the lake below. Absolutely breathtaking.

Good hike from Cathedral Ledge (the point you can drive to). Great views and some good steep parts of the trail (not too many, so I would not call it "difficult" but maybe "moderate.").
