Miles of groomed trails, not too crowded, brush cut back so no ticks. Can start/end Downtown with coffee and log an easy 5+ miles. Great views.

This is great spot given the easy access. Most of the trails are flat and scenic and right in the middle of the city. There were handy bridges, an interesting dam. Some of the trails did have some grades and tight spots, but overall they were managable. Didn't like the power lines running through one area.

Mine Falls Park has two primary entrances - one on the east side of Route three, at the end of Whipple St., and the other on the west side of Route three, at the end of Coliseum Ave. You can also get there from the Nashua High School South parking lot. Starting from the Coliseum Ave. entrance, there's a bridge across the Nashua River, a short paved walk, and a second bridge across the canal, to the High School entrance. From that point, there's another paved walk along the east or south side of the canal, under Route 3, past the Whipple St. entrance, clear into the center of Nashua. There are also bridges across the canal at the Whipple St. entrance and another mile east, and many unpaved walks. As long as you're between the canal and the Nashua River, it's hard to get lost. It's almost all heavily wooded, except for the ball fields on the east side of Route 3. There are several loops of a mile or two. A great place for a quiet walk.

We stopped here to kill time before we headed to dinner. Very surprised at the length and how clean this park was for being in the middle of a city. We started at Whipple street entrance and ended up walking 4 miles. The trails are wide and well marked. There is a dam causing two waterfalls that really bring you to nature.

Mine Falls is great for walking, running, biking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing. A regular spot for dog walking and families and soccer games at the fields. I've seen beaver, heron, muskrat, ducks, turtles, pileated woodpeckers, swan, deer and hawk in the park. Some great lookouts and views on some trails. A nice piece of woods in the city.

A bit hard to find, but worth the effort if you need a place to while away some time on a nice day. Take path along the canal to the river and find a place to sit with a book under the trees. Only complaint - no benches.

The park provides lots of trails that are easy to hike (i.e., fairly level) with different areas to satisfy your scenic impulses (e.g., along a canal or through a wooded glade). The dogs love the trails. You may want to bring along water for the dogs as well as yourself--especially if it is hot and sunny.

There are what seems like endless trails here. Though you probably will not get lost, you may want to download the trail map before you go (nashuanh.gov/documentcenter/view/2328). We parked in the lot near Stellos Stadium which is near the boat launch and the hydro dam gatehouse and falls. The only thing missing were restroom facilities.

We had driven by this park on numerous occasions but never stopped. We finally made time to come here for a bike ride and were glad we did. We parked by Stellos Stadium and hit the trails, which are a mix of pavement and dirt. Mountain bikes are best for some of the dirt trails which are rocky with roots in some areas. There is plenty of shade which is nice on a summer day. If you are into fishing there is plenty of access at various points on the trail. There is also a boat launch by the Stellos Stadium access.

Mine Falls is a wonderful woodland park to visit for a walk, jog, bike ride, or dog walk. It is clean, safe and easy to navigate. Take a trip off the main pathways to see turtles, ducks, beaver, deer, an occasional heron, and enjoy the quiet sounds of nature. A refreshing break from life without having to travel far!

Are the paths Wheelchair Accessible? I've seen others answer that there are steep inclines and I need to know how wide the path is to make sure my sisters wheelchair can access the trails.
Thanks in advance!

No, the only really good place to picnic heat is by the river that flows through the park or near the soccer fields in the park

How handicapped accessible is this park for a person using a walker? What entrance is close to water?
Written October 22, 2017
So long as you start at one of the two parking lots and stay on the paved paths, you should be fine. However, even the smallest circuit is about a mile and there are some steep inclines (depending which circuit you take). I'd make sure you walk with someone rather than solo.

Take Route 3 exit 6 - then first left after passing the mall entrance - follow road to its end and there's a parking lot - sports fields on right, small bridge into the park on the left - lots of trails - beautiful and peaceful

No swimming. A lovely place to walk, run, bike and its dog friendly.
