About
Museum is closed. Our museum is the only museum in the country which chronicles the history of the motorcycle policeman. There are 94 motorcycles on display from 1909 to 2005, a movie theater, a workshop where we build a bike a year, a special Laconia Race exhibit with racers from 1909 to the present, our lobby is dedicated to our military with original WW11 motors and much more. Our pride and joy is our junior motor officer area where children receive a badge and police ID card if they take a pledge to read every night, obey their parents, promise not to bully, and say no to drugs.

The museum is an awesome place. We were greeted by the owner and were told about the museum. He encouraged us to look, ask questions, and take our time. This wasn't my first visit here and it certainly won't be my last. I spent almost as much time chatting with him as I did looking around. There is a ton of history locked up in this place, interesting stories, and unique items you won't find anywhere else. Very kid friendly, they swore my young son in as a junior officer years ago and he still raves about the trip there. Well worth the visit. Owner mentioned they were looking for a new permanent home and hopefully the town works with them to keep them in the area because this is the type of business and people that make America great. I know I'll be back again and again to visit. Thanks for another great visit!

We love what we do and we love the people who come in. Our pride and joy has always been and will always be the junior motor officer program. Parents who expose their children to the rich history of our beautiful country are truly the ones that make America great. You sir are a testament to that belief. Doug and Leslyee

My husband and I had passed this museum for the last few years, but never went in. This year we decided to check it out. When we went in we were overwhelmed at all the amazing old motorcycles from the military, police departments and just about every kind of bike you can think of. If you get a chance to visit this museum you will not be sorry. My husband is into motorcycles - I'm not - But I loved every minute we spent there.

Thanks for the great review and thanks for finally deciding to stop in. We're so glad that you and your husband enjoyed your visit. We pride ourselves on making the museum exhibits interesting to all - even those who don't consider themselves motorcycle enthusiasts.

We stopped here today and discovered an entire new venue to replace the 94 motorcycles that had been displayed. I am sorry to have missed this museum.
My wife declared that if they had stayed open for this week and got $10 from each of the many hundreds of motorcycles that we've seen the past couple of days, they would have "made their year".

we passed here on our way to Weir's Beach and stopped in the next day. They have an impressive collection of police motorcycles, uniforms and the such.... After you pay your admission you have 3 floors with over 50 motorcycles to discover....

We did not expect too much when driving there. But right after entering we got very much surprised:
- lovely couple who owns the museum. Great knowledge and dedication to their museum and the bikes, as well as the history in general
- greatly set up barn, with a never-seen display of Harleys and Indians.
Only thing to improve: the shirts are printed pretty badyl. I encourage the owner to get a better quality of both, shirt and print.

My wife and I discovered this museum by accident and couldn't believe it! There are three floors of motorcycles from early steam-driven bikes right up to the latest technology. They even have a motorcycle from Elvis's funeral procession! There's plenty of signage to explain what you're seeing, and the owner is very "hands on" and willing to answer questions and give tours to groups. We took pictures of ourselves on a bike provided for that purpose, and there was even a place where children could be sworn in as Junior Motorcycle Officers. I would recommend this museum to anyone, even those who are not motorcycle enthusiasts.

What you see is not a collection of bikes and memorabilia owned by various police departments but by a single man and his associates who are dedicated to preserving history! Owner is extremely friendly, knowledgable and his inventory covers not only police motorcycles but military and civilian versions as well. Was well worth the time we spent!

It's comments like yours that keep us going. The early history of motorcycling centered around the courageous acts of police and military with race competition drawing millions of civilians into the hobby. Thank you very much for your kind review.

The American Police Motorcycle Museum is a labour of love by its owner, and succeeds on all counts. Whether your interest is motorcycles, policing or general social history, this collection ticks all the boxes. Spread over three floors, it contains a fascinating collection of mainly US police bikes (some quite rare), and all sorts of associated memorabilia. An excellent place to spend time browsing.
