On the way to our much anticipated Pickety Place lunch we got a call that the power was out so they weren't sure if they could serve us. When we arrived they offered us takeout, but we could carry it into their garden and eat it at a picnic table. The garden was lovely, we greatly enjoyed our food and the ambiance.

Pickity Place is truly an enchanting dining experience. That was my thought as we wandered about the place. This is one of the most wonderful places there is. If you love history, especially your childhoods, "Golden Book history" then this place will fill your heart. --------NOW ABOUT THE FOOD Fantastic, tasty, fresh, fulfilling, chef prepped with a GREAT price to boot.... We actually traveled two hours just to dine here. This is a true destination DINING SPOT!! Well worth it. Pickity Place is a food lovers dream... {part of me is not sure if I should write this review, not sure I want to share this place }

We visited Pickety Place for the first Time on November 3. The setting is beautiful and must be even prettier earlier in the fall or in the setting. They have 3 seatings per day with a 3 course meal for $23.95. Since Pickety Place is known for its herb gardens, the dishes all use their own herbs. There is a choice of a vegetarian or a non-vegetarian main course at each meal.The food was fresh and delicious! Service was friendly.The menu changes monthly. We enjoyed the 2 gift shops on the property. All in all it was a fun experience that we will repeat in the future.

It’s just a great place I have been to several times with friends and family. Always enjoyable and impressive. Whenever family comes into town that’s a great place to take them.

A friend brought us here for a special lunch. They have 3 lunch seatings per day. No dinner. The setting is an old house in the woods that was the inspiration for the art in Little Red Riding hood. My beef Wellington was luscious and tender. The rest of the lunch was equally wonderful
