This attraction was a fun overall experience. The cost of admission was good considering that there isn't a strict time limit on the visit and it gives you access to the Castles, Ice Slides, tubing hill, and Mystical Forest path which is full of ice sculptures.

It was really well set up and it felt like the magic of Christmas in March! Staff was friendly, alcoholic hot chocolate was delicious, lights were beautiful, ice slide was SO MUCH FUN!

Amazing experience! Go you won’t regret it and do the sleigh ride, it’s magical! We went Presidents week 2024, it was sold out but didn’t feel crowded. Dress warm.

Although we were transparent that we had a disabled teenager with us, no accommodation was given. We pre purchased tickets and from the beginning it was not to be. The entry is almost impossible to get through for anyone with footing issues. No consideration was given and we never made it past the entrance sign. No one “in a blue jacket” ever asked if they could help.

Ice Castles is one of a kind experience. You walk through this castle made of ice with different colors shining through the ice, and the music is so soothing and fits the atmosphere perfectly. You can go down an ice slide and snow tube down an ice slide too. Then there is a walkway where all colorful light s shine through the snow and lights hanging from the trees. Also ice sculptures with the lights on them. A magical experience. The kids will love it, and so do adults.

If you have a 2 year old or less maybe consider using a baby carrier. Its not stroller friendly. The snow is very deep at times and hard to walk in. In my opinion it was very overpriced and way too many people there making it hard to enjoy.

I spent around $30 a ticket for me and my wife, and drove 90 minutes each way to see the "ice castles". Wow was this is a massive waste of time and money. If it were free or like $5 a ticket then I could see myself doing it but even then I don't think it's worth the time you will spend traveling and being there. Maybe if you have young children they would get kick out of it but l can safely say that your kids' childhood will not suffer in any way should they miss this. Save your money for something worthwhile.
The ice "castles" were truly underwhelming. And the cost of beverages, especially the hot chocolate with alcohol was highway robbery. There was a very short trail through the woods where they had set up lights in the trees, and that was alright. Bottom line is that if at all you are wondering whether this is worth your time and money I can assure it is not. At least not at these ridiculous ticket prices of $30 a ticket.

4hr ride from ct and we loved it. We stopped early in the day and viewed from the parking lot to see the natural blue colors. Then returned at our appointed time of 4:30 and were very happy. They did a good job!!!!!

Never saw the Ice Castles-they cancelled last minute and we could not refund our hotel so we had to go and find other things to do. Stated weather but the weather was colder the night we were to attend than the following day when they opened. We could not exchange our tickets for the following day because it was sold out. Businesses in town were also frustrated because many patrons were annoyed by the last minute notice.

Super disappointing, for starters it’s expensive then they charged me an arm and a leg when I had to reschedule because my kiddo woke up with a high fever that morning. Had to spend like an extra 40$ Spent so much money and the place it’s not that great. Kids liked the ice slides best and let’s be honest… it’s free to go sledding and they would have had more fun. Sure it’s cool but I wouldn’t recommend it or go back. Such bad costumer service

I generally use a walker or cane after back surgery but I also use walking sticks for walking on the beach or hiking! I want to come with my husband and family!
Would that be safe for me to use walking sticks? Is it slippery? Should we wear waterproof boots?

I don’t think it is a good idea. My mom also uses a walker and I would not take her. Not sure if you are Harry Potter fans, but if so look into the HP Forbidden Forest in NY. Flatter surface and super fun too!

It’s possible to do stand by tickets since it’s sold out for February vacation week?

Keep checking the site. The day we went was sold out, then I checked back and there were tickets available.
Once you get in, you can stay as long as you want, so standby tickets depend on people leaving.
Can someone please verify the actual physical address of the ice castles? I am finding 3 different addresses when I google. We are going tomorrow evening and I want to try to print out MapQuest directions in case of inclement weather effecting GPS. Thank you!

Is it worth getting the sleigh ride? Does the new enchanted forest walk and the sleigh ride explore different areas?

Once you arrive, does it take a long time to actually get into the ice castle?
Just wondering what the experience is like from the parking lot to the entrance. I bought a 4-4:30pm time slot, if I arrive at 4:30, will they still let me in?

Getting in is pretty fast. Only a short walk to the entrance Get there a little early though because parking might take a bit..spaces open up as people leave. And if you're going to be there after dark (when it's beautifully lit) dress WARM!!
