This place used to show a head on the side of the mountain. Apparently it was destroyed around 2003 in a storm (if I recall correctly). The sight though, has installed several poles with notches along the arm which, if sighted along, show you what the actual head looked like. Very neat idea. It can be a bit hard for... More

Beautiful grounds. Lobster Mac And Cheese was awesome! We will definitely be booking a winter stay at this resort.

This is a great hike to take when in the area. From certain places on the highway one can see the outline of the Indian head that was on the nickel. Great views.

We have hiked many mountains but Indian is a great one and not that difficult a hike. The trail is well marked and easy to follow. It's on the 52 with a view list and gives an awesome view!

Indian Head is a great place to stay and eat. It is showing it's age in some respects, BUT, the staff here is great, and the food in the restaurant is very, very good. The pools and jacuzzis (heated indoor and outdoor) are always clean and well maintained. I can't say enough about how great the staff is here. We... More

My husband and I went here for a long weekend and it was perfect for relaxation. The rooms are easy access from the parking lot which made things easier all around. Pretty decent room - no complaints at all - shower water pressure great- had little balcony. Food at hotel dinner was pretty good, we went on off season so... More

The Indian is still around and hasn't crumbled yet like his buddy the Old Man further up the highway. He's a wonder to look at. Climb the tower to get a better look (I did it years ago, but then acrophobia set in).

This is a short and rewarding hike. If you bring your dog just be mindful at the top. Cliff edges. Can get a bit crowded so go off season or mid week if you can.
