This is a great way to while away a couple of hours seeing the countryside around Lincoln. They appear reluctant to let you take your own food and drink on, which is a bit off given most people will be there with young kids. That is the only negative about this train ride.

I took the trip with my mom. We sat at a table (each of us took a window seat) and were looking forward to seeing some beautiful sights. Unfortunately, the trees block the majority of any scenery around. I got a bit of a headache from the diesel that runs the train. I guess I expected more from the trip,... More

My family and I loved the fourth of July party train! We had such fun looking out the windows and my stepdaughter loved waving to people as we passed them. The food was average but I expected nothing more. The man making balloon animals was amazing!!! He didn't make it to our car because the volume of people but he... More

Took my two teen boys here on a rainy day. The railroad is better suited for the toddler to 9 year olds. Also better to do it on a sunny day to really see the scenery.

I went with my young daughter on a Sunday for an event that featured story time and a train ride. We arrived 15 minutes prior to the start and were 4th in line at the one and only ticket window but their teenage workers couldn't handle the difficult customers ahead of me and there was no manager in sight. So... More

I went on the train ride with my family while on vacation and had an enjoyable ride. The Conductor provided history for the different spots that we passed. There was also a clown aboard who made balloon animals for anyone who wanted. My daughter loved her balloon butterfly! Nice views of the Pemigewassett river and the ride was just long... More

We love to take this train ride every fall to experience the autumn colors as we meander through the countryside. Has a great gift shop to browse before you get on the train. We always find something that we can't seem to find anywhere else. Everyone both in the gift shop and on the train is so helpful and friendly.

My husband, daughter and I went on the Hobo railroad today, Memorial Day, and it wasn't anything exciting. It was somewhat relaxing, wasn't too hot inside the car and we liked the music playing but that's about it. Basically all we saw were trees, barely saw water through the trees here and there, crossed a couple main roads and more... More

Nothing exciting..average train ride,, nothing scenic about the ride. The ride was monotonous throughout. It was a disaster for kids.

We had both planned a weekend getaway in Lincoln NH especially to see the ice castles and it did not disappoint us! Very cold but gorgeous, there were a couple of ice slides which my friend and I tried out Awesome, We went around 5:00pm so we could both see the castles during the daylight and during the night time...
