Our party of six enjoyed a wonderful afternoon wine tasting hosted by Katie at the Seven Birches Winery. Katie is very knowledgeable and passionate about wine and is a terrific ambassador for Seven Birches. We got to sample several of their excellent wines and learned a lot about wine from her. We all would highly recommend stopping by the RiverWalk Resort and visiting with Katie for an afternoon. You won't be disappointed!

The tasting room is a great vibe! Ross conducted our tasting and he was knowledgeable about all the wines we tasted and offered great insight about the area. The wines were great, and the gift shop corner offers cool local offerings. We will definitely return on our next trip to Loon. Also- a wine flight is 5 wines for close to $10, something you don’t see in the north East often. Don’t pass up this place! Thanks Ross for the great time!

Small intimate room, w/ glass doors to large balcony & a breathtaking view. We enjoyed 4 whites; Solstice was unoaked & a bit sweet for my taste, although Liz definitely warned us! It would pair nicely with some chicken salad, but I was glad I sampled a glass rather than buying a bottle. For sweeter palates, the Strawberry Wine was a pleasant surprise & would pair perfectly with Summer Berry Trifle. The Pinot Grigio was crisp w/ expected apple notes. Riesling was nice light, semi-dry & refreshing. Our fav? The Sauvignon Blanc w/ nose of stone fruits (apricot to me, peach to my husband) & kiwi made for a crisp refreshing drier white. 3 Reds were quite pleasing for a summer day. Sunset had a very nice finish with a medium body. Cab Sauv had a great jammy nose w/ just a hint of oak & tobacco, perfect for some grilled meat on a cool summer mountain evening! Our favorite was the incredibly smooth flavored Syrah. Great nose, great flavor & finish. The absolute highlight of this tasting was Liz’s expert guidance. Her friendly banter through our tasting provided just enough information to confirm our choices, sharing little tidbits along the way about the winemaking, the winery & Virtual Tastings. We definitely enjoyed the well-curated selection of wine accoutrements & local foods: a nice variety of retail to pique the interest of any wine taster! We loved the local crafts. We will definitely be back every time we visit the White Mountains.

Nice little wine tasting bar. We were traveling as a family. They welcomed us with our two young kids. Like other families, the kids played on their electronics while sitting on the floor and we stood during wine tasting. Husband and I selected 5 wines to taste each. Tasting was $20. Server was quite knowledgeable. Mulled wine was the best out of all of the wines we tasted. I personally only liked that one but I drink more luxury line wines.

Thank you for your honest review of Seven Birches Winery. We are glad you enjoyed your visit and we are thrilled that you received great service. Our wine is certainly not for everyone. It is nearly impossible to produce "luxury" wines in NH, considering the only grapes we can grow here are hybrids. In fact, in order for us to make wines that you would recognize (Cabernet, Merlot, Chardonnay, etc.), we have to source the grapes from wine growing regions like California and South America. Those grapes are shipped to us at harvest time and we vinify them into the best possible wines, considering the distance they needed to come. Luxury wines they will never be. That being said, one fruit that does grow in NH that produces world class wines, are apples. We are making, what we believe, are the finest hard ciders available. Apples grow in New England soil, climate, etc like grapes grow in Italy, France, and California. Because we get them fresh, because their terroir is perfect, the resulting ciders are "luxury" indeed. Thank you for visiting. Thank you for the review.

Me and my partner did the wine tour on a whim and it was the most rewarding experience of our vacation in N Woodstock. It was only the two of us on the tour, for the most part, and Ross gave us an intimate, in depth conversation about everything wine for close to two hours. He answered all our questions as they came, and it was immediately apparent he is an expert. Can’t say enough nice things about Ross and the experience he showed us. I would recommend this to anyone, and I’d even want to come back and do it again just to ask more questions.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Only problem is you can't mix wines from the various categories and must try strictly from that group. Some sweet, some dry, some fruit and cider wines. $15 tasting for a fleet of 4 wines.

We had an opportunity to visit 7 Birches Winery the weekend of the 26th of June, 2020. Since we had already been there on previous occasions, we chose to have a glass of wine and ordered the cheese, crackers and meat board. Our server was Mariah. We felt very comfortable and safe as she wore a mask and kept a distance from us when talking to us. We not only loved the wine and cheese, but also having an opportunity to chat with Mariah who is very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile to make the customer happy. We look forward to coming back to New Hampshire and to 7 Birches soon. If you get a chance, check it out. Good wine, great atmosphere and really nice people.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Ross our guide was very knowledgeable and we could tell he loves what he does. Wines were excellent! The hot mulled wine was amazing! Can say so much more but you should experience it for yourself. Would highly recommend it!

Our host (I am so sorry maybe Patrick....if not Patrick I am sorry) for the tour of the winery was Awsome! He gave us a sneak taste of the Blueberry Wine that was due to start bottling the next day. I can’t wait to buy it. Liz at the tasting bar was super knowledgeable of all the wines, and was patient as this beer drinker kept asking different questions. My wife I can’t wait to go back over the summer and enjoy the back deck as we drink o bottle or two.

We had a great time as Seven Birches Winery! Our server Brian was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the wines available. We were able to chat about not only wines, but he was able to recommend activities for us to do in the area while we’re here. When we visit the White Mountains again Seven Birches is on our list for sure!
