Neat place to see history of area....worth a stop if you are in the area!! Maggie gives a great lesson on the place and on Thursday you can see how the old sock knitting machine works

Visited the Belknap Mill and was greeted by a very knowledgeable lady at the front desk. She gave my family and I a tour of the first floor of the mill. One room had artwork, the other vintage machinery, and the best part..... the back...More

Across the river from the mill is Mill Plaza. It's a pretty little park at the corner of Union & Main that overlooks the river and the mill. Very pleasant place for a short walk or a picnic on a nice day. Clean and convenient....More

I enjoyed seeing how real socks are made. The place looks and smells like it did over 100 years ago. I like looking at the water fall that used to run the mill.

I wouldn't recommend going here on purpose, but if you're in the area it is somewhat interesting. Local schools host art shows here, that is fun to look at. The staff is helpful and pleasant. The pavilion outside is nice.
