Found this beauty by accident!

Be sure to make this mistake and head off the beaten path! What a beautiful place!! A lot of nice shops in small towns near by!

We've been there many times before, sometimes camping, sometime just driving around. This time it was the "just driving around".

Truly a beautiful and magical spot in New Hampshire. We chose to follow highway 3 rather than 93! Just do it! So much prettier.

This is "the" place in NH for hiking and getting outside to enjoy all those things that make life great. Hiking primarily, but sitting in a cool mountain stream or river on hot summer day after a hike? Sublime

I have been to the White Mountains many times. I have gone with just my Husband, alone, and with family. I would recommend it for anyone. Some of the things there I am not able to do anymore but even just the drive and some areas are wheelchair accessible. When I was younger I would treck off into the woods... More

I highly recommend the Kangamangus Highway (RT 112). If you are lucky, you may see Moose near the western end of the Highway. Stop at the overlooks to enjoy the views and be sure to stop at the rest area on the east side of the mountain to enjoy the river as it flows over rock creating mini-waterfalls. Also be... More

The views, the wild life, the quietness, the brooks, the mountains, the trails, the cleanliness and quality of the air, are more than relaxing they are tranquil and simple and really easy to get used to. I moved from the hustle and bustle of southern New Hampshire to the tranquil north. I drive 1 and 1/2 hours one way to... More

Whilst visiting friends in Boston, they recommended a drive through the forest to get to see some amazing scenery. We drove from Down Town Boston, up to Conway and then through the forest on route 302 returning on I93. We saw some beautiful sights and kept stopping whenever we wanted to get some spectacular photos. Autumn was just starting, so... More

The White Mountains State Forest has something for everyone that enjoys the outdoors and nature. Easy day hiking with beautiful scenery and camping to expert hiking with backwoods camping. We usually stay at Jigger Johnson's campground along the Kancamagus Highway because it has running water and coin showers. The showers are located up front and available for everyone whether you're... More
