They shut down the beach for bacteria so check before you make a visit in the summer! It can get busy. If you're local, it's a decent place. I wouldn't drive any amount of time out of my way to come here.

This was a nice spot and easy to get too. Some lovely hiking trails for all experience levels. The lake is small but nice. Although we were warned by a car full of locals driving by that yelled “There’s poop in the water!!!!” So that...More

Came here on a very hot day to cool off. Wasn't too crowded and the water was pretty warm. It wasn't the cleanest water I've seen but it was clean. They have a small playground with swings too.

We love to visit this state park in Hollis. It's unfortunate that its always closed due to some bacteria. We can't swim in the water. It's beautiful to visit and sit on beach or picnic. They have a little playground. We always enjoy our time...More

Stopped for a place to picnic on a family road trip. It was a great spot for this purpose, with plenty of picnic tables and spaces! There is a small swimming area, I just put my feet in for a quick cool down. Clean facilities...More

This lake is nice and quiet. Found it to be quite clean. You can bring floatation devices which is a plus and they will use their compressor to inflate for you. The roped off area is quite shallow but you are allowed outside of it...More

This used to be a nice place but it's now overrun with people from Massachusetts and most of them don't speak English. Not a clean lake to swim in - problem with lots of weeds.

When I first moved to Hollis I was so happy there was a pond so close. However the water quality can be so bad you usually can't swim. And I never will. I would pass on Silver Lake State Park. This is frequented by mainly...More

Great place to snowmobile, lots of trails and many great views. Great family trip. Summer time is nice there but think the water needs some clean up.
