Take a free tour of our brewery, enjoy a guided tasting, and shop for favorite and hard-to-find Smuttynose and Smuttlabs beers, as well as other goodies in our retail store. Afterwards, enjoy a delicious meal at Smuttynose Restaurant located on the same grounds, featuring over two dozen beers, a farm-to-table menu and a seasonal beer garden and fire pit. Good beer!
May 2021 • Couples
The beer is very good. The country atmosphere is appealing. They only thing I would state was a detractor is they could use to install regular rest rooms instead of portable potties by brewery and beer garden. Otherwise it was a very pleasant visit.

Second and last visit
Jul 2020
Second and last visit to Smuttynose in N Hampton. Gave them a 2 for good beer and amazing outside ambience. Then it’s all down hill . We came with another couple planning on staying for a long time enjoying live entertainment, brewery beer and tasty treats. Regee band was sleepy time music , and we spent more time flagging down our waitress than enjoying each other’s company. We were CONSTANTLY looking for our waitperson, received our food one meal at a time, no silverware, no napkins, no side plates, no side sauces . It was ridiculous! One person would bring some food , when asked for silverware the server would say “ I’ll find your waitperson” then we’d get the silverware , but not the side plates, another 5 minutes looking for waitperson for side sauces that were suppose to come with menu items, this went on for hrs . Some of our food items were comped but we won’t be back. They have the most amazing outside environment but the service and slow kitchen is far from enjoyable .

Welcome to 2014
May 2020 • Couples
Smuttynose beers are a throw back to 2014 before hazy IPAs and pastry stouts entered the scene. Still, VERY happy to visit this place. Outdoor patios only thing open because it’s a pandemic. Waitress says they just opened a few days ago because of the pandemic. Super happy to have come and just be alive to visit. Fun time.

Great all-around brewery
Oct 2019
This is one of the largest breweries in the area and has a lot to offer. Beer is great - they have a lot beers made and sold onsite only grouped as the "SmuttLabs" beer. Its worth a visit just to try some of those. There is also a farm-to-table restaurant on side that uses some of their beers in the recipes. Indoor seating as well as a large patio with seating and a firepit. On site - there is also a disc golf course that goes around brewery for 9 holes. Everywhere is dog friendly except in the bar area of the brewery and indoor portion of restaurant. There are picnic tables outside if you want to bring your own snack food instead.

Went to restaurant adjacent - nice atmosphere and good food selection. Build your pen burgers and salads.

Good beer and food
Oct 2019
We ate upstairs in the restaurant (less noisy) and enjoyed the beer and food. My friends and family had IPAs, but I had my favorite Old Brown Dog Ale. I ordered the fish and chips, which was a bit too heavily battered and fried for my taste. But others in our group raved about the chili and the fish tacos. I want to return in the warm weather to see the brewery and grounds.

Summer afternoon, brew and lovley environment!
Sep 2019
A wonderful brewery to visit. Legendary beers and a beautiful environment to visit. If done in conjunction with other sites in the areas, it makes a great stop and have lunch.

Great craft beer site with adjoining restaurant
Sep 2019
Stopped in to sample some local handcrafted beer and an appetizer at the brewery's restaurant (opposite the brewery). Great patio, great weather, great beer, and awesome nachos. Perfect combination, and we find that the brown ale is one of our favorites. Friendly service, and a relaxing atmosphere. Will go back soon.

Great Brewery
Aug 2019
Well the beer is awesome and always has been. The brewery itself is huge so get ready to see some huge tanks. The store and tasting room are nice. The staff was super friendly here making it a great experience. Worth the trip!
