Wonderful Public Beach for All Ages
Aug 2021
First time visitors to Hampton Beach State Park on the New Hampshire seacoast, and what an impressive, family-friendly beach this is. It's easily one of the widest beaches you'll ever experience on the Atlantic coast, and it stretches over one and one-half miles from north to south. Plenty of room to stretch out and set up your beach umbrella and chairs without being right on top of the people next to you. This is also a guarded beach with lifeguard stations spaced apart over the length of it, though it lacks markers regarding how far out it is safe to swim like many other beaches. So, when the whistle blows that marks the limit on how far you can go out regardless of your swimming ability.

Depending upon your personal preference, alcoholic beverages including beer are prohibited on the beach and are subject to a stiff fine. This helps keep the beach clean by not having empty beer cans strewn about when people don't pick up after themselves, but it doesn't allow the responsible patron to sit back in his or her beach chair and enjoy a cold one on a hot summer day. So, there are pros and cons here.

Improvements for the future that would be nice might include outdoor public beach showers for rinsing off the sand at the end of the day, as well as additional public washrooms which are badly needed for such a large beach. Pros are many, including ample places across Ocean Blvd. to get to bite to eat or drink, convenient beachside parking (for a fee) if you get there early enough, and no annoying vendors strolling the beach trying to sell you useless junk like you'll find in the Caribbean and elsewhere. Overall, this is a very nice public beach for all to enjoy.

New Hampshire Beach
Jul 2021
We spent a day at this beach and the evening walking the strip of shops/restaurants. As far as the beach itself goes, it was very nice. It seems clean and well patrolled. There were a lot of families having fun here. Their are a few souvenir shops and some restaurants within walking distance. I never knew New Hampshire had a beach!

Bare Breasts and Butts on Hampton Beach
Jun 2021
[This is an edit of a previous review - with the correct date for Go Topless Day in 2021: Sunday, August 22.]

On a Friday in mid-June, my husband and I had a wonderful time on Hampton Beach. The temps were around 80 degrees F, the humidity was low, and there was a gentle breeze – making for a perfectly comfortable day for sun and fun. The water was fairly warm – for New Hampshire.

The sand sculptors were working on their “sand castles” in preparation for the coming weekend’s competition. The much larger-than-life topless sea nymph particularly caught our attention.

We started the day wearing c-string swimsuits and going topless. After returning from our first trip to the water, a police officer on an ATV stopped by and said that there were reports of naked people on the beach. He said that our swimsuits were legal, but he asked us to change to suits that had straps around the waist so we wouldn’t appear naked from behind. He left, and we changed to g-string swimsuits.

After seeing that the police didn’t care about my bare breasts, two young women (not together) who had set up near us removed their tops. One of the women was by herself, and she not only removed her top but also scrunched her modest cheeky bottom into a thong. The other, who was with her boyfriend, wore a tiny orange bottom that made her appear almost naked from a distance, although no one complained.

The next time that we went for a swim, we stopped to chat with the topless woman who was by herself. We invited her to come for a swim with us, and afterward to walk with us down to the breakwater at the river. She had never walked around topless, and found it exhilarating. My husband seemed to be strutting like a peacock with one topless woman on each side of him. Fortunately, his swimsuit was made of a very stretchy material!

I hope that more women become comfortable going topless on Hampton Beach. It’s legal, it’s liberating, and it’s fun. Don’t hesitate to do it with friends. I know that there can be reluctance to be first, but others will likely join in once the first top comes off. There’s no reason to wait for the chance of seeing me. And you’ll miss too much of the summer if you wait until Go Topless Day (August 22, 2021 – each year on a Sunday near Women’s Equality Day which is celebrated on August 26th).

While I’m at it, let me say that I wish that guys would ditch the grampy shorts and wear functional swimsuits – speedos, thongs, or g-strings. My husband assures me that such swimsuits are very comfortable, as they are contoured for the male anatomy. Sadly, we saw only one young man in a speedo. To the extent that you attract attention, it will almost always be positive. My husband gets tons of compliments – verbal and non-verbal – from both women and men. The highlight on this day occurred when an attractive woman in a thong bikini celebrating her 40th birthday asked for a picture with him.

Here’s to a great summer for all the women who free their nipples and all the men who bare their buns on Hampton Beach!

Great experience with friends
Jul 2021 • Friends
First time over here, the beach is clean and it’s a great experience to be at the beach. Parking is a bit tricky, make sure to find the $10/day or the one that’s hourly rate ($2/hr), some place will try to over charge you ($20/day).

Return to Hampton Beach after a long absence
Jul 2021
After spending the last 12 years going to the beach in Maine (recently sold our summer home) we now have the opportunity to try new beaches around New England. It has been many many years since we went to Hampton Beach. We decided to take a day trip and went to the southern part of the beach. We were able to reserve parking online on the NH State Parks site. This was a new part of the beach for my wife and I. We were pleasantly surprised how nice the beach was, but was very crowded. There are restroom facilities, showers (they were closed still) and a store. Facilities were OK from a cleanliness perspective but could have been better. We arrived early afternoon and the beach was packed. We were able to squeeze into a spot for the afternoon. Water was on the cold side (not surprising for NH) but clear. Suggest getting there early to get a good spot. Lots of kids on the day we went! We spent the afternoon enjoying the weather and then left for an early dinner.

Nice beach to visit in summer
Jun 2021 • Family
This is one of the best beach in NH. Always crowded, but you can always find spot for you. This visit was with family to see sand scruplture. There was sand scruplture competition on that day, many people were there to see that. It was really nice. Couldn't go on water as water was cold. Still enjoyed playing in sand with kids.

walking
Jun 2021
Being June, the ocean was extremely cold. However, walking along the beach and splashing through the water left behind during low tide was wonderful. There was also some type of sand building competition and a number of final projects were scattered along the beach.

Too much car Noise
May 2021 • Couples
We stayed at a hotel over looking the beach. Off season and extremely loud . It was like trying to sleep at the racetrack. Loud cars loud music All day. For a tourist town bragging about family friendly, it sucks. I have been going to Hampton beach for over 45 years, I'll never go back.
