Fall foliage is the main reason for our New Hampshire trip, so while looking for hiking trails, we decided to drive past Gunstock Resort hoping for trail maps. While there, we learned they were running chair lifts ($10 per person per direction) up/down the mountain. We decided to ride the lift to the top and then hike down the 2.5 Miles down to the resort parking area. Boy are we glad we did it in that order! The hike down took about 2 hours, stopping a few times foe scenic views, pics etc. Pay attention to the trail markers. There were a few times we weren’t exactly sure we were on the right path. We are in our mid/late 40s and in ok condition. To have hiked up would have been too much for us. There are parts that were very steep and loose gravel. Going down we just took our time and baby steps. So glad we did it! We then enjoyed a picnic lunch before heading to put our feet up for a rest!

E-bike tour at Gunstock Mountain. Great experience. 1st time on an e-bike and really enjoyed it. 8 people (the max) on our tour. Social distancing practiced during the set-up and then masks optional for the ride since we were all 6 feet apart. Megan was our tour guide and super helpful learning the bikes but also made it a lot of fun. Great way to see the mountain!

Experienced campers visited over Labor Day weekend. Usually we are at state-run campgrounds, we are a little leery about privately run camps as sometimes management isn't interested in enforcing policy or cleanliness in order to make a quick buck. You will not find this at Gunstock. Check in was super easy. Sites are mostly back to back in open areas, but there is enough room for everyone not to be on top of each other. Sites were level; we had hook ups which looked like they were all new (we were in poplar field). Every site had fire ring and picnic tables; there were even a couple extra strewn here and there for those who had additional needs. Large area for kids to play, decent sized pool, and playground. Lots of children running around and on bikes, which is always good to see, and tons of dogs, all of whom were relatively well-behaved. Baths/showers were super clean and plentiful, as were laundry areas. "Clean Team" was everywhere to be seen. Dumpsters were maintained-no trash lying about whatsoever. Other campers were respectful and pleasant and socially distant. Quiet hours started well before the 10pm deadline; this was a mix of young and old and everyone did their part to make sure their fellow campers had a good time and stayed safe. Everyone wore masks in common areas, for the most part. Gunstock staff did an outstanding job overall, with every camp site filled and lots of people to take care of. Disappointing that adventure park was not up and running, but there is more than enough in the lakes region to keep anyone occupied. Convenient dump station and checkout took seconds. Other campgrounds should take note; Gunstock does it right. We highly recommend this campground.

Our 1st camping trip with our new travel trailer. Our pad was level with packed gravel and with trees for shade. Sites are spaced out so good social distancing. The staff is friendly and campground is clean. Despite the adventure park being closed due to the pandemic you could go fishing or walk the nature trails. Sturdy picnic table and fire ring at every site. We definitely will return again.

Wow! Thank you so much for your review. The staff will be thrilled to read your feedback since they are working so hard at improving the camp sites every year. I'm glad you were able to find fun activities. We certainly are disappointed that all the Adventure Park activities are closed due to COVID but it looks like you found some adventure with fishing and our amazing nature trails. We hope to see you again soon. Kristen, at Gunstock.
