- TC KPortland, Maine8 contributionsFun but long linesLong lines for the mountain coaster - I wish we had a better idea about this before we bought our "unlimited riding" tickets at 1:15pm (they closed at 4 and my daughter also wanted to do the ropes course). The mountain coaster was fun once we finally made it on. My husband and son did a second ride after another 45 minute wait but my daughter and I had to settle for a chairlift ride in order to make it over to her ropes course (scheduled time). The ropes course was fantastic - you can see a lot of thought and work went into it, and the staff was extremely professional and knowledgeable. My 9yo daughter was disappointed not to be able to do the adult course (for 12yrs+) but the kids' course was a good challenge for her. If you go, get there earlier in the day to experience more of the rides.Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 9, 2023
- Cliff C1 contributionThe best service oriented Ski Resort in New EnglandThe Brockton High School Ski Club calls Gunstock "home" every winter. As a town owned Mountain they truly focus on a positive experience to boost local tourism unlike the profit hungry private corporation owned ski mountains. Family affordable, great for school groups and always pleasant people to work with.Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 13, 2024
- Journey509609819721 contributionBest Choice By FarWe held out company outing at Gunstock this year. Our staff had a wonderful lunch and enjoyed riding the chairlift, zip lining, and the mountain coaster. We have had so many employees express how much fun they had and that this could have been one of their best outings to attend yet. Thank you for putting together such an awesome time. We will keep you in mind for future gatherings.Visited August 2024Traveled on businessWritten August 13, 2024
- Kernow999Upwey, United Kingdom278 contributionsFantastic dayWhat a beautiful place with very friendly, helpful staff. We booked the zip wire tour plus unlimited mountain coaster rides. The coaster was so much fun and the staff were very cool. We had so good laughs with them. The zip wire is highly recommended. The views are outstanding and the journey down is exhilarating. The last two have metal curved steps to get to the top. These were a little tricky for my wife’s fear of heights but the zip wire journey was worth it. The staff with us were very good and we had total faith in them. The resort is stunning. Thanks to everyone.Visited September 2024Traveled with familyWritten September 9, 2024

The first time I went there (since I was a young kid) the line to get rentals and tickets on MLK Day weekend was one hour and 15 minutes with two entire computers to get people rentals. Further....the line to get rentals snakes down a stair well into sorta a basement area with no doors and very few windows. Personally I think when it's packed with people it's unsafe. That's just my honest opinion. That said after all that you get an electronic e ticket like a credit card and you can just reload that and go get your rentals. But not anymore. Now even with that you have to get in line anyway at the damn welcome center, get your form, then head down to get your boots and poles, then finally go through the last hoop and go upstairs to get skis. So the form on your phone is worthless and they wasted your time. Hello to unnecessary lines at Gunstock again. I hope you love that.

This is not a mountain resort! It's a drive to the mountain. The rooms are all adjoining and other ppl staying there can look directly into your room! All the curtains must be closed for any privacy; day or night! Don't stay here if your a female alone; it does not feel safe and they have No overnight staff. The phone number goes to voice mail. That's comforting in an emergency? I was ripped off my hard earned birthday money and wkend of fun! Thanks for nothing! You should be ashamed at your lack of honesty and integrity. I should of received a refund of $358.00. You did not have that right to keep it! Comp me one night sometime this year was your answer, so I try to book July 3rd. Nope 3 night minimum! Some racket you have going!!!

I took the summer chairlift ride up the mountain. The tickets were reasonably priced and didn't require reservations which made it easier to visit in case of not so great weather. It was a nice ride up and down the mountain. The views were nice from the top.

Don't bother wasting your money. Went last year and it was amazing. We were so excited to come again this year but it was a major disappointment. The tubing hill was cut in half and the mountain coaster was closed because I guess enforcing wearing gloves like masks it's not safe. Our 12 year old wanted to leave in 20 mins. Gunstock why did you ruin a great thing?

This was my first time at your mountain ..from the moment we pulled in with the person directing traffic to our last moment at Pistol Pub with our waitress made it feel great to support a local resort instead of corporate resort. The friendliness was shown throughout and can not wait to come back for more.

Took my children skiing for the first time. 11 and 8 years old. They took lessons. The bunny slopes were perfect for them. Slopes are great for intermediate skiers as well. Not crowded on a weekday. Not far from Boston. Lodge had everything you would need. Not as pricey as other New Hampshire ski resorts farther north

E-bike tour at Gunstock Mountain. Great experience. 1st time on an e-bike and really enjoyed it. 8 people (the max) on our tour. Social distancing practiced during the set-up and then masks optional for the ride since we were all 6 feet apart. Megan was our tour guide and super helpful learning the bikes but also made it a lot of fun. Great way to see the mountain!

Mary,
Thank you for your review. This is our first year with e-bike tours and we certainly love it when our guests enjoy the tour.
I agree e-biking is a great way to see our mountain. We hope you will be back to explore our mountain trails again soon.

I live locally and have a seasons pass. Great smaller mountain. This year has fallen short for me. The grooming is just not up to par. After a storm it's another day after before they groom. Makes for tough skiing. Secondly they never opened the lodge near the lifts for food. Much prefer the ski in and out convince . It's a longer slog to the lower one. Bring your wallet. A regular bottle of water, $4.50.

What are the ski conditions like in March?
Written January 11, 2020
Their is a huge difference between March 1st (great time to ski lots of base snow) and March 31st (thin snow probably a fair amount of ice). I am not a fan of Spring skiing so I would prefer early March.

What are the best TENT 🏕 sites numbers that are not in the crowded area, that are sort of secluded, peaceful, quiet?

Do you have to hike far to get to the zip line
Written August 1, 2018
You have to ride the chair lift takes you to mountain top zip line. There’s a smaller kiddie one shortly after the entrance.

can you recommend when is the best time to come for guaranteed snow later this year?
Written March 12, 2016
Went went end of March last year and snow conditions were ok but not great. Last year this time was also quite a bit colder so my guess would be that there isn't much time, if any left for this season.
