We chose only to view Kinsman Falls, then go back down partway to a large, relatively flat rock. We ate lunch that we packed, then sat or lay down,... More

Visit Cannon Mountain, the New England Ski Museum, the Basin, The Flume. Just take in the beauty. Drive slowly to take it all in.

We were worried that our visit the first week of Oct. 2016 would be too early to see fall colors. Instead, we had wonderful, partial colors without the crowds! This drive is so beautiful that even without colors, we would have been stunned.

Stop and look - well-worth the time! Fall foliage at its grandest. Quite a few people stopping, but not too annoying.

The fall is the greatest time to drive through. The foliage was just beautiful and there are so many things to do, just great.

Franconia Notch is a phenominal place as it offers wicked good parking areas allowing people to get out of their vehicles and explore the woodlands. You can hike, bike, swim, site see... More
