This is a great place for flat water kayaking or canoeing. Plenty of opportunities to view wildlife (eagles, loons, otters, moose, ducks, etc). Bring a lunch and stop on the shore or the islands for an enjoyable and relaxed time. Great for families.

Put in at the Rte 16 bridge over the Magalloway River in Wilsons Mills, ME and paddle down to the take out across from Mt. Dustan store for an easy paddle! OR continue on to the take out at the Wildlife Center, or if you're really ambitious, continue down to the confluence of the Magalloway River and the Androscoggin River... More

If you like a remote, quiet getaway...this is a great place to visit! We had fun driving around looking for moose, enjoying the scenery and found a nice place to eat!

We went just before dusk, the paddle was calm and peaceful. Saw some birds and a river otter. Nice relaxing way to end the day.

I spent a weekend camping in Aug2011 with my sisters and my 10 year old (Girls Camping Trip) in Errol, NH, and kayaking in the Magalloway River was one of our outings.
