Rooi Els is a small village with lovely houses, quiet and peaceful. The Beach is well protected from the wind and it is clean and accessible for a swim. If you go before 10.30 you might have the beach and the "pool" for yourself. Enjoy !

A great beach for swimming and surfing. The clear water also provides excellent snorkeling with some amazing dive spots. The amenities are very clean.

Lovely clean expansive beach. And empty! Easy to park, with lagoon behind it. Well worth a visit when in the area.

There is a river running into the sea which looks reddish due to the fynbos and vegetation where it runs through before reaching the sea. It is on a bend and is also an expanse of sandy beach which could be enjoyed. Fisherman loves this spot
