Our group of 3 teenagers and 3 adults went on their 4 mile 4 hour float down the Saco. Reservations were easy to do and the staff when checking in was great. This tubing place is the best in Conway. I liked checking in and getting shuttled to the in water place and when you were done bringing the tubes up the stairs across the street to end your journey. A couple of water rapids were cool. For the most part the day we were there the water was high enough so as to not get stuck. Unless you want to become a Maine lobster put on plenty of sunscreen. I didn't!

I'd like to thank the owner, Bob, for making my paddling trip possible. He was very accomodating and got me on the Saco River with hardly any notice. Yes, they were open when many of the outfitters in the area were not. It seems that most of this area opens to tourism after Memorial Day weekend. Thanks for what you do. Also, if you're interested in an Old Towne kayak or canoe; he has a good selection for sale.

Tubing...thenriver was spectacular and the views were great. Cant blame the company for the slow currents but leave extra time. Customer service was poor. The office staff were utterly bored with their job. Wait time for someone to give us tunes was too long given we were the only ones checking in at the time. Large groups were annoying and did impact our trip as we tried to get away from them. At the end of the arduous trip, we had to pack dozens of tubes into a trailer..but only some of us. In the rain with kids. A passenger refused to wear a mask and was still allowed in the van. Im not really sure what we paid $150 for them to do other than provide tubes and have us haul everything to and from the river. Beautiful river, but many other companies might offer better customer service and a better attitude.

Do not use these people. They screwed up two reservations in two months for me. The first one they just claimed the reservation didn’t exist and had no more boats so oh well.... I should have learned my lesson but the second trip was an annual trip for the last 5 years with close to 20 people. I made reservations months in advance and had to call back several times to correct the email confirmation that was incorrect. Long story short their quote was not complete and even though details were reviewed in length they failed to mention over $300 in extra fees. When I called to discuss this the employee looked me up on their system and found the first trips reservation but had no excuse for that misunderstanding and then went on to say that the additional fees were all standard and the quote I was given was just for the boats not everything else we discussed. Horrible customer service. Saco river is great but Saco bound sucks.

We chose the "Redstone to Saco Bound" trip to depart a 12:00. I had completed all the paperwork previously online. However, this company didn't manage to get us in the water until 1:40. We ended up eating our picnic we packed for the trip while we were waiting. Once in the water it was a nice float. The weather was perfect and the river was not too crowded. This ride was great if you like to sit back and relax in the sun. However for kids and teenagers. it can be quite boring, and extremely long (When will it end?). The water was not moving very fast, so at times we ended up getting out and walking, pulling our tubes along just to move a little faster. The 2 "rapids" were gentle and quite fun. Upon returning the tubes, no one was there to check us in, making me wonder how they keep track of whether or not you returned the tube. The tubes were not numbered or anything. Also, although they advertised the rental was $25, they automatically tacked on a $3 per tube insurance and some other fee so it ended up costing more than we expected. Overall it was fine, if for example the other company in the area (that has better reviews) is sold out, as it was for us.

We went on an overnight kayaking trip from Saco Pines to Weston's Bridge.

The good: The kayak trip itself was beautiful. We loved camping right on the beach. The person at the front desk was super nice and friendly, as was the guy who shuttled us back. The shuttle showed up right on time and the guy was helpful loading our kayaks. About a mile into our trip my kayak sprung a leak, and someone came quickly to our location to replace it.

The bad: They gave us a kayak that was leaking. Good thing all of our supplies were in dry bags! The portage around the dam was rough, although that in no way is Saco Bound's fault. Just be prepared! Or enter the river after the dam.

We kayaked and canoed on the full Saco trip ending at the Landing. The staff at check-in were friendly and extremely helpful. This is a well oiled business. The day we chose was great weather but the water was super low. We stopped several times to swim and eat the lunch we brought. It took us almost 8 hr car to car. We packed a cooler which fit with plenty of room in the canoe with 2 adults, a dog and other stuff. Our 12 yr old daughter and her 22 yr old cousin paddled in the kayak. It was not easy but everyone made it and enjoyed themselves.
This was a first canoe/kayak trip for some of us in the party. I think the shorter trip might have been a better choice if you are considering with a family.

Excellent customer service, great prices! We rented 2 canoes for 5 adults and a dog and they dropped us off right away and picked us up exactly when planned. The man and the front desk and the driver were both super helpful and friendly. Will absolutely be back!

We floated to Westin Beach today in less than 2 hours even though the river was low in places. Great way to spend a day in the 90's.
We were off to a great start with Beverly quickly checking us in and getting us to the river. She was pleasant and extremely helpful. Saco Bound is fortunate to have her as an employee.

First time and it won’t be the last! My group had the best time. We all work in Bar Harbor, Maine it’s been a busy season. First time off this summer to go out and enjoy ourselves. We arrived early, checked in we got a briefing of the tour. Went outside and met a women to get our tubs. Loaded on to a bus. We got to have Dave as our driver. He’s a pretty cool guy. We learned a lot about the area. Once we arrive to the river. We loaded up the gear tote which was totally worth it. We all hooked together and off we went. I couldn’t get over how clean and clear the water was. We had a tough time in the rapids. I’d check the water levels next time or try to go into it a different way. We floated for about 5 hours. We had a great time. We can’t wait to come back again and do this tour. We will bring a larger group next time. Thank you!
