This is one of the cleanest lakes I have ever been to. The whole entire area was very clean with picnic tables and grills at most of them. We sat on the beach and watched the climbers on the 2 ledges in front of us....More

This state park has everything, a lake to swim in, hiking trails, bike trails, hibachi grills, picnic tables, bathrooms, and change rooms. We hiked around the lake, as well as to the base of Cathedral Ledge. Absolutely beautiful, and you’re able to make a day...More

We’ve been coming to Echo Lake State Park for 20 years and it only gets better. With a modest beach area, picnic tables, charcoal grills, extremely clean flush toilets, and a gentle hiking trail around the lake, it’s a perfect destination for anyone in the...More

We’ve been going to Echo Lake for 14 years. Today we were sitting on the beach enjoying the view and witnessed a woman take a dirty diaper and rinse it in the water. She obviously didn’t want to take the reusable swim diaper home with...More

We went here to spend a nice day, at a peaceful lake, with a gorgeous view. We were not disappointed. There are hiking trails going in different directions. Some paths lead to Cathedral Ledge. The water was nice. It was quite busy so it was...More

I went here late afternoon and it was pretty. There is a walk around but we didn’t do it. There were picnic tables. Kids looked like they were having fun in the water. They had floats and just running in.

My wife and I spent the better part of a very pleasant day at Echo Lake State Park. There is a fee to get in ($4 per adult) but I think it is worth it. The parking lot is a good size but I bet...More

I went in what is technically the off season so it was super quiet. Lots of picnic tables, or you can sit on the rocks bordering the beach and look at the mountain. Perfect view. I did not walk the trail around the lake but...More

Pretty, adorable, small lake in the mountains... Looks like a it could be a popular swimming spot in the summer... Not a lot of parking which was fine for this time of year but could be a problem in summer.

You can bring your kayak or canoe but no motor boats. You’ll have to carry the canoe/kayak from parking lot to lake. About a two minute walk. You can also paddle board.
