Lake and Picnic area are nice.Beautiful mountain, blue sky. Trail hiking is not marked very well. When they say the hike to Cathedral point is steep. They mean steep!!!!! I did not make it to the top. Felt unsure/unsafe. I fell trying to come down. Leg is not a pretty sight. Life Guard at entrance gate /ranger station did an... More

There are few beaches in the White Mountains. So, this beach is a real gem in the region. Echo Lake is at the almost north point of Franconia Notch. It has all the facilities you would expect at a state park. There is a bathhouse for changing, clean rest rooms, a snack bar, life guards and boat rentals. It is... More

Great place to take kids to swim. Swimming area is roped off with life guards. Picnic area with picnic table and grills. Shaded real well. Lake also can accommodate kayaks or canoes.

Nice Little Lake in NH. Just stopped by to have a quick look around. Lovely location to spend with family or with your partner. Water is clean and pretty warm (In August).

Nice place to spend your day or at least part of it. Clean, picnic tables and grills, changing rooms. Only part is the graded hill to get to the beach. Tough if you have a lot of stuff to carry.

Swimming was great as the water comes from the mountains and is clean and cool. It's safe for the kids with 2 lifeguards and buoys that define a safe swimming area. For areas like this it has good parking, rest rooms and changing rooms.

I wanted to hike about 4 miles and was able to see both ledges and do so. The maps and mileage are readily available at the entrance or online in the summer. If you do the Bryce path to Cathedral ledge, add a summit to White Horse Ledge (not the whole loop) and double back then return around the lake,... More

A must see when traveling West Side Road, along with other natural attractions along this route. Great beach and picnic area. Don't forget your senior pass. If you do no have a senior pass, suggest getting one.
