The lake area is great but amazingly they are still charging for parking after Labor Day. New Hampshire has Rangers at all their sites now , nickel and dimming the public for wanting to see nature’s beauty. The Ranger is there a full day and he is not close to making his pay with only 2 or 3 cars. Do the math N H !!!!

My wife and I walked this state park and found the trails nicely marked. We enjoyed the hiking trails. You do need to watch out for the tree roots and rocks on the trail, but we enjoyed the yellow markings on the trees and rocks to guide you through the woods. There were various levels of trails to choose from, most were easy to moderately difficult. The park staff were friendly and helpful. No issues with bugs or wild animals.

My dad lives around the corner from Echo lake. Beautiful view, waters usually cool but clear and clean.. This last time we were there, there was seaweed (grass) floating all around the lake it was gross and it was greener than usual. And it smelled.. Maybe from all the rain and heat. It was so bad we didn't stay in the water long. We usually float around on our floats but it was gross.

We were greeted by some really friendly rangers on arrival. It costs $4 per person and there was loads of parking but it was 01 Oct. The trail around the lake was easy to walk and very pleasant, we even saw some beautiful red foliage.

I was finally able to reserve a visit for this state park and my family and I were not disappointed. The lake is very clean and while there is a shallow area roped-off, you are able to access the entire lake. We were pleasantly surprised that inflatables are welcome and sold on site. They also have a compressor and inflated our tubes at no charge. The park ranger was very welcoming and helpful with information as this was our first visit. There are a few trails around the park. I walked the .7mi around the lake itself, which was a nice, easy trail. Be advised that there are many roots on the trail so take care if you are not in protective footwear.
Cathedral Ledge is overlooking the lake. It was an amazing perspective as we had just walked up to the summit two years earlier. There is a good amount of sandy beach area as well as many shady picnic tables and grills. The park is carry-in/carry-out so, no trash receptacles. We can't wait to visit again!

Lovely familiar walk around the tranquil lake… this time in spring. It was almost as beautiful as in the fall. This time we had a picnic with a view - there are many picnic tables available and it was so nice to relax in this beautiful corner of New Hampshire.

The cost is $4 per person and plenty of parking was available. Surprisingly, not a lot of mosquitoes.

Beautiful park. Make sure to book in advance as there are extremely
Limited tickets available to day use. Kids had a lot of fun, very clean. Also have charcoal grills and plentiful picnic tables. Nice spot for a dip,
a walk around the lake, or hike up to Cathedral Ledge. Park rangers were friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely a must visit lake with family!

We arrive in North Conway at lunchtime and so our hotel suggested that we visi this park. There is so much to do here we came back and paid $4 each to spend another day here. Well marked paths and a great view from the top overlooking Echo Lake. Take a picnic and soak up all the different views.

Wonderful walk around the lake, great swimming on sandy bottom, good spot for kids fishing. Tables available for eating. And the kids had fun yelling for echos! Entrance fee.

Went here when Mount Washington was fogged in at top.
Costs $4 a person.
Did the Echo Lake trail - nice easy walk about the lake.
Also drive to Cathedral Lodge - good views from top of drive.
Small but scenic state park.
