My family rented two canoes and a kayak yesterday August 16, 2016 at Seco bound in Conway New Hampshire. It was a beautiful day and extremely crowded. The process getting onto the river was chaotic but not nearly as bad as trying to get off the river at the pig farm for the bus pick up at 5 PM. They... More

A lot of fun to take the whole family out on the river and spend the day there. Rope swings and beaches along the way

Put your canoe in at Fryberg, Maine and head downriver. You can do a day trip or an overnight. Camping on sandbars is the way to go. If you pitch your tent in the woods, you'll sleep with the mosquitos. The river is flat except for one small section of rapids, which is easy to navigate. If you paddle west... More

It's nice to dip your toes in the water on a hot summer day. Our dog especially liked taking a break at the waters edge.

You can follow the Kancamagus trail alongside the Saco river. Loads of covered bridges along the way with lovely photo opportunities. There are loads of lovely stop where you can go & take a dip in the river, its gorgeous. Remember to take $3 changes with you to pay for parking, which you'd need to drop in the envelope

My sons and friends on a hit August day floated down the Saco river from North Conway to Conway. Took about 6 hours as they stopped on the way at beaches to picnic and swim. We took canoes and a tube. Excellent fun if weather is hot as the water is cold!

We lucked out staying at the Will's Inn with the Saco River being a 1 minute walk in back of hotel. What turned from a 5 minute exploration to a 3 hour trek up river through brush then a gem of a find of a horse trail did a super loop back to hotel. This river is everywhere but if... More
