I took my husband on this for Father's Day in 2020. The people who worked there were very personable and they immediately made us feel welcomed. We had our own bike (two-person) and there were two breaks where we were able to stretch our legs. We brought snacks and drinks and there was a basket available for us to put our cinch sack while biking. We happened to go on a very hot New England day and they provided large golf umbrellas for us to use to keep the sun off of us.

The scenery, including the dairy farm and old bridges, was lovely! While our time with Scenic Railriders was only two hours, it felt like we spent the entire day out in nature because time really slowed down for us.

I recommend this to anyone who is looking for something new to do, enjoys nature, and might like to unplug for a while.

We were looking for something different to do that wasn't too far a drive. We would have preferred a bit later into foliage season but there were no spots available. An indication of how popular this activity has become. We went on 9/29. The rail peddler unit for 2 was mostly comfortable and easy to pedal. I only gave this a 4 because I found the seats a bit uncomfortable for the amount of time spent in it. It could use some type of padding and maybe a little more back support. But that's just me.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The scenery was pretty. Foliage would have made it spectacular. The cows on the farm mooed a greeting. The organic aroma of their droppings could be a problem for some, I suppose. I didn't mind.
All in all, a great afternoon spent outdoors in New England!

This was a great break from traditional tours for my family of 5 during our tour of New England. My six, nine, and eleven year-old had no problem pedaling the bike and we never felt winded. It was a hot day so we were glad to be on the 1030 tour, but there is good shade for most of the ride. My only critique would be that for the price there isn't a whole lot to it. We were done in about 1.5 hrs and there aren't many landmarks along the way, but if you have the funds and want a unique group activity this is perfect.

You pay a fortune and do all the work just so some clown can line his pockets. This place is a joke and for the prices he charges it should come with a three course meal. The scenery is unspectacular. Go to any one of the community or State Parks around Concord and keep your money in your pocket.

This is obviously a bogus review written by someone I reported to the police after he drove by me while I was standing on the yellow lines holding a stop sign to cross our customers and bikes across the road. He is clearly trying to cyber bully me and my company because I turned him in for running the stop sign and almost hitting me with his car. I wasn’t going to press charges but since this person has written multiple bogus reviews I’m now going to follow through with charges against him. Trust the rest of the valid reviews and the fact that we just got voted best tour company by Best of the 603. Sincerely Gary LeBlanc (the real one) Owner Scenic Railriders

We had a blast! At age 65 and 62, I was worried that we would run out of energy before finishing, but the ride was not overly taxing (ok, I was a little rubber-legged for a while afterwards). My wife has chronic pulmonary issues, and uses an oxygen concentrator, but was able to pedal the whole way. The scenery was beautiful. Staff were friendly and supportive. We would happily do this again!

This was our 1st time visiting the Scenic RailRiders. A unique experience that combines bicycle like pedaling with that of an old time railroad handcar. It's very easy going for those who think they might not be up for the exercise, with several stops in order to turn the carts around. The rail trail takes you parallel to the Merrimack river and through some of the local farms. Total time is about 2-2.5 hours. Well worth the stop, not something you do everyday.

We had a great time on the Scenic Railriders. We brought our two children, ages 5 and 2. My 5-year-old was still a little too short to peddle the bike, but he still enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly and helpful! They had pads for the back of the kid's seats and a small basket to store our backpack. We packed waters and some snacks as you do get off the bikes so that their staff can turn the bikes around once you reach the end. It was a hot day, so it came in handy to have waters. They also have umbrellas on the back if it rains. You can go at your own pace really, but you are with a group of other riders so have to make sure you leave enough room in between.
It's a great concept and was a fun day for all of us!

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I have several joint replacements and I was concerned about pedaling with my new knees. The staff was great helping me adjust the seat to a comfortable pedaling position. This was a very fun way to spend a couple of hours along the river and past some agricultural areas. An ingenious use of some abandoned rails.

My wife and I had a really nice time riding the rails and enjoying the scenery. The staff of the this family run business is friendly and helpful. The peddling was pretty easy (even for us 70 year olds) and there was no rush.

The ride took about two hours and there are two spot where you need to get off your vehicle so it can be turned around. When that happens you continue the ride in reverse order, if you were first you are now last.

I highly recommend going at least once.

Nearly four miles on a self foot-propelled rail vehicle, this was a wonderful way to experience the area, off the beaten path.

Safe, clear instructions, and beautiful scenery made the experience extremely enjoyable.

Would be great to do during fall foliage.
