My husband and I had a blast! Highly recommend!!! Everyone was super friendly from the owners to the dogs. We were able to play with the dogs before and after sledding. We did the "sugar sweet" tour which was amazing. My husband and I definitely plan on doing this again next year.

My two grandsons, ages 8 and 9 loved the experience. Lydia, Kim and Kelley were great. The boys couldn't stop talking about the smart, beautiful dogs. They also loved the bumps in the trail! Yes, you were voted better than a video game!

Lidia and Richard are great. The dogz are warm friendly and love to pull. Being out riding across the lake behind a team of dogs with the feel of the wind on your face and the wierdly quiet patter of dog feel in the snow is amazing. Makes you feel like you have stepped back in time. Richard and Lidia are both fun and knowledgeable about the area and dog sledding. This is a wonderful experience that you do not want to pass up.

Thanks so much for your review. We totally appreciate it. It was a great opportunity to take you out onto Squam Lake by dog team. Squam Lake is one of our favorite places to run our tours, it is always so magical out there and the folk at Squam Lake Association are just wonderful. Best wishes, Lidia

I was just going through some photos from the Winter and found my photos from this special day. I've been dying to go on a tour with the Snow Dogz since I first saw them lead Santa to Town Square at Waterville Valley. I liked them on Facebook, studied all of the dogs and their profiles obsessively for a year before my husband bought us a tour for Christmas. We didn't go until March, and it was perfect.
Lidia and Richard's dogs are Hedlund Huskies, a line of Alaskan dogs that have been bred for pulling these sleds and it shows. The joy in their faces when they are running is infectious. At first I felt guilty that these poor dogs were going to lug my big self all over the fields of Campton. But once Lidia and Richard (and Kim and Kelly) start hooking the dogs up to their lines, you can tell, they'd lug and elephant if he could sit in the sled! Tumac, Dougie and Gunsmoke were my absolute favorites. Unlike some working dogs I have met, they were SO friendly and connected with us in a way I didn't expect.
Lidia, Richard, Kim and Kelly have such a passion for what they do! They were happy to chat and answer all kinds of questions. It was interesting to watch how they interact with the dogs as well. They're all natural leaders and it is quite obvious that the dogs adore all of them. There was a great respect between the animals and the people and I enjoyed that energy so much. During the tour itself I liked that I could ask questions, but they also understood how wonderful it was to race across the fields with nothing but the sound of the dogs and the schuss sound of the sled on the snow.
We did the tour in Campton, I know they also do tours right in Waterville Valley, but we wanted a longer experience. I highly recommend it! Next year we are going to bring the whole family. It really is a great learning experience as well as a really cool way to fly around the fields.

What a wonderful evening event. So quiet but for the dogs excited barking. Surprised my daughter on her Xmas getaway weekend. Pulled up to field and she had no idea why but was delighted. Her favorite dogs all in a bunch to see and touch. Thank you.

My daughter (8) and Son (11) rode together on a 20 min ride at sunset. The views were amazing, the mushers were really kind and helpful, and the dogz were friendly, excited and really fast! Looking forward for a longer trip next year. Thank you!

My son loves Huskies. Looking for a 18th birthday suprise gift, searching the internet, we found Valley Snow Dogz in Thornton New Hampshire. He had no clue where we were going and when we pulled in he got very excited and shouted, "Are those dogs!!!". Lidia, Kim and Kelly were there to greet us and introduce us to each of the 26 dogs there that day. There were enough dogs for three sled teams. Everything was very well organzied with informative explainations about the dogs and dog sledding. It was clear to see that the dogs were loved and well cared for and that they were as exited to get going on the dog sled run as we were. We also felt very cared for during this experience as we were each tucked into a sled under a thick warm blanket. The sled ride was about three miles long and VERY exciting!
Things to know:
Dress very warmly. It was 7 degrees the day we were there. You will be tucked under a very warm blanket but warm cloths, gloves and a hat are a must.
The meeting place was at the Benton Surgar Shack Campground parking lot. With deep snow, the sign can be a little difficult to see.
Bring some eye protection such as glasses or goggles. The dogs paws kick up bits of ice and snow that fly back at you as they run.
Be prepared for an abundance of dog kisses and tail wagging!
This was an amazing day for us and I highly recommend it.
