Beautiful park
Oct 2020 • Couples
We just visited this beautiful park. Since it was fall, no swimming but the trails are pretty neat. You Weave thru the trees, and eventually pop out by the lake, great! Like others have stated the water is so clear.
Also, the scent of pine was all around.

Great swimming place!!
Jun 2020 • Family
This park is great for spending the whole day at. There is a beach for swimming, a boat launch, fishing, bathroom facilities, playground, small field, covered group area, grills, picnic tables, and washing stations. The water is crystal clear. Our family loves spending time here. The staff are great too. Highly recommend this place.

Beaches, Picnics, Hiking, Boating!
Oct 2019
What a great state park along the western shore of Newfound Lake. An awesome sandy beach, clear cool waters, shoreline and mountain hiking trails, and plenty of tables for your picnic or bbq. Has some nice facilities if you need those comforts.

Picture perfect!!!
Oct 2019 • Couples
First time here!!!! WOW!!!! Super BIG, super clean ... rest rooms (portable potty for this season), lots and lots of picnic tables ...right at the edge of the water!!! They have a trail...which my husband and I found challenging...until we came across a family with 3 children who were walking the trail barefoot!!! LOL The trail follows the edge of the land/water which is beautiful....but rocky....I guess our bodies are not "as balanced as they used to be!!!" Oh...Did I mention how CLEAR the water is and how much water frontage (BIG) this place has!! It must be a blast in the summer!!! Definately worth a trip!!

Wellington State Park and Newfound Lake can't be beat
Aug 2019
Spectacular views, clear water shallow enough for little kids but deep enough for adults, beach areas, shaded picnic areas, lots of picnic tables, fireplaces for grilling, changing rooms, bathrooms, snack bar with other essentials, good parking, separate entry for boats, hiking trails--lots of room to spread out even on a sweltering hot day. Who could ask for more? This park never disappoints and has something for everyone, including areas specifically for camp kids. It's a great state park with reasonable entry fees, and NH Residents over 65 are free.

Swimming, Veterans and Fun
Jul 2018 • Friends
Last summer we were fortunate to visit beautiful Newfound Lake in Wellington State Park and participate in an incredible event; Swim With a Mission. An open water festival to support and thank our Veterans. The park professionally organizes the day that consists of many spectators, 300 swimmers, Black Hawk helicopter demonstrations; yes, the SEALs actually jump from the helos into the lake, military exhibitions, K9 events and contests, 30 Navy SEALs mingling with the crowds, music, raffles, food and fun. My family and I will be back on July 13th, can't wait!

The most beautiful lake I have ever been to in my life. The water is crystal clear and there is no trash. If you do go make sure you help maintain the park by cleaning up after yourself!!

Unfortunately, in this day of family vacations, we can’t bring our dogs?!? But they’re our babies, too!

Wonderful lake and park
Sep 2018 • Friends
This is the quintessential New Hampshire lake state park -- the water's clear and clean, with wonderful views of surrounding mountains and hills, and it has a nice beach. Safe place to bring the kids because there's no deep drop-off. And it's near a town that has good restaurants, inns, and shops. I lost my high school ring in this lake decades ago -- it's in there somewhere, buried forever.
