The only down side to our trip was that we couldn’t reach the top of Mt Washington as it was snowing!!! Fantastic journey and our guide and brakeman Kota was brilliant. He told us so much about this historic unique railway . Good value for...More
If you're in the area you just have to go. The price was ok. The seats were not uncomfortable. The view from the back of the train not that good. Very scenic out the side windows. Our trip was full of brits. They were not...More
We visited for this 3 hour round trip up/down the mountain (1 hour up, 1 hour at the top & 1 hour down). The history of the railway is fascinating; all is explained in the visitor centre at the bottom and by the guides on...More

Boo. First, we're told that we don't get to go to the the top. We were looking to some sunset photos. Now, the stop 2/3 of the way up, and we don't get to walk around.
At least we still have the sunset....

Riding the train to the top of Mount Washington is a great experience. The ascent gets extremely step and the view are really beatiful. Staff professional, friendly and helpful. We ram into a bit of a problem and they all were of great help.
I have asthma and had no difficulty. Again, as stated above dress warm. Take a light weight scarf that would be able to cover your mouth and nose to keep the air you breathe in warmer. There is a visitor's center at the... More
I have asthma and had no difficulty. Again, as stated above dress warm. Take a light weight scarf that would be able to cover your mouth and nose to keep the air you breathe in warmer. There is a visitor's center at the top if you become to cold I would suggest you get inside. Not knowing your actual physical illness she probably should check with your doctor, to be sure. The altitude is over 6,000 ft.
