We used some timeshare points to stay one night at the resort and it was fine. Not exactly the luxurious accommodations we're used to, but it was good enough. Having a Murphy bed was sort of cool. And the pool was interesting - indoors and...More

Very nice and informed guides, show you how to zipline down one of the longest zipline in America. I must have been going at least 80 mph at one point.

I would not go again. The plastic shavings coming off the slide is everywhere sticking to clothes and you breathe all those plastic dust into your lung. God know what health issue it may cause in the future. They make you sign the waiver which...More

The “hotel” room was awful. The booking stated “main hotel” but there is no main hotel. There are only condo like rooms in units. This is our last time staying at rental property at the resort. We gave it a second change this year and...More

This attraction would have received a 5-star rating but for two (important!) things - the price, and the safety. The mountain coaster is a wonderful ride! Unfortunately, on our fourth run, my family (each on separate coasters) came in behind an idiot who was so...More

We enjoyed Attitash with our 8 and 10 year old boys. Lots to do. The mountain coaster was fun, the alpine slide was great, and the water slides well very cold but it is NH. The pillow jump is a little crazy but my sons...More

We really enjoyed Attitash. The alpine slide was so much fun and the mountain coaster as well. You control yourself on both, so I liked that too. There are water slides and euro bungy, climbing walls and an air pillow drop too. Also, a scenic...More

We went with my 3 year old son and 6 year old niece. Everyone, kids and grownups alike, had a blast. The moutain coaster, the alpine slides, the bungee trampoline and the chair lift were all well worth the full attraction pass.

First family vacation- not familiar with anything. Help :) (3 Replies)
We are planning our first family vacation and really just went off of VRBO.com on where to go and stay and two locations met our needs in NH near storyland. We are 3 adults and 3 kids (5,8 and 16) so the vacation homes to accommodate us all are a little pricey (anywhere we go) so we're looking for things to do near the area that we dont have to spend too much $ on (such as Attitash mountain resort). One of the houses says there is a beach- Bartlett town beach 3 miles from there but i cant...More

Hiking, swimming, fishing, and the like are the baseline "things to do." You'll be surrounded by beautiful mountains, woods, and streams. Swim and splash in the Saco River. (I'm not familiar with the Bartlett town beach; according to the town Web site, some water-oriented summer activities seem to take place at White Lake State Park in Tamworth.) Drive up into Crawford Notch and hike up the side of Silver Cascade.

What are some of the things within driving distance to see and do at Attitash Mountain Resort Aug 31 - Sept 7, 2012?

There are many things to do but it's hard to answer this type of question w/o knowing what your interests are. Do you like shopping, hiking, brew pubs? Will there be children with you? If you go to the New Hampshire home page, the top right corner has a lot of info on things to see and do. Take a look there and we can help with specific questions.
