We purchased tickets in advance; we parked at Zephyr Cove to park which was an additional $8. We arrived 30 minutes early, which in hindsight, we should have arrived earlier, since when we got on board, all the deck seats had been claimed. The cruise was about 10 minutes late for departure. No biggie. It was a full 2 hours... More

Make sure you are over the age of 65 if you want to do this. One word describes it...BORING. I can't believe I spent 3 hours of my trip on this ship. The scenery is nice, but there are lots of better ways to see it here in Tahoe. The ship is jam packed with people like cattle and there... More

We booked this cruise for a party of 9 to celebrate a special family birthday. The problem is that there are just too many people on this boat to make it fun. I felt sorry for several wedding parties on board, because the experience was very "cheesy" and not the romantic experience I am sure they hoped for. Downers: Bar... More

Yes, it's just a boat ride...but it's across the most beautiful water I've been on short of Hawaii. The food is good, and other than alcohol and gratuities everything is included. Great for pictures and relaxation.

We were pleasantly surprised with the M.S.Dixie dinner cruise. Dinner was good, service was good and Music was awesome. We all had the rib eye dinner which was very flavorful. They had Ike and Martin playing music and they were outstanding. Their music was played throughout the ship and was very enjoyable. And of course the view/ride was beautiful. Only... More

We went on the dinner cruise. The boat slowly travels straight across to the opposite cove and back. Tour could be shorter and more creative. A few minutes of canned information at either end. Way too many people-mostly busloads of seniors. Food is typical mediocre dinner cruise food. But the lake is so beautiful and it is nice to be... More

The boat was much too crowded, not enough seats for everyone even though we were told there would be plenty of seating. We sat in the dining room and the view wasn't good. There's not enough room for everyone topside so get there early. Oh, and there were too many little kids out of control, screaming, running, crying. Staff did... More

The ship was grossly overbooked. Not even enough seats for everyone. People were sitting on the floor and in the aisle ways making it impossible to move about the ship. Also very uncomfortable when rude passengers were pushing people out of their way to take pictures while staff stood silently by. Screaming kids, rude people and zero response by staff.... More

We bought our tickets online which made it easy. We didn't have to worry about holding onto a ticket. We just provided our name prior to boarding for check in purposes. We boarded the M.S. Dixie transport bus at the rear entrance of Harrah's which took us directly over to Zephyr Cove to catch the M.S. Dixie paddle boat. We... More

The cruise leaves from zephyr cove on the southeastern side of the lake, and goes directly across to emerald bay on the southwestern side. (The water turns green due to the shallow water and is pretty cool to see.) It is 2 hours long. You can see the entire lake surrounded by the snowcapped mountains. The cost was $55 pp,... More
