Old time paddle wheel steamship leaves from South Lake Tahoe and cruises across the lake to the beautiful Emerald Bay where you can view the Vikingsholm castle built in 1929 in Scandinavian style. The ship is smooth, quiet and has an area where you can order a meal while enjoying the view from the enclosed 2nd deck or seating is... More

Went early October. Ship is maybe at 60% capacity. The views are not that different from the marinas, although since you are on the water, you will get to see how blue the water is. Ship makes a u turn at Emerald Bay. You get a close-up view of that tea house on the island off the bay where some... More

Its a boat ride across the lake and into Emerald Bay. A fun activity for the day, and a different way to see the lake.

Finding Zephyr Cove was a nightmare. There was no address on their brochure, so we missed the boat the first day. Next day we called for directions and the address they give you does not work well with GPS- which sent us to HWY 50. Very frustrating and then they charge $8 to park! Overpriced and over crowded (over 500... More

We arrived at the cruiz parking lot 15 min before departure. We were charged $8 cash for parking. However, all parking was already booked and we have to use remoted parking, which is 5 minutes away. We had to run and still were able to get there at scheduled departure @ 12 pm. The guard on the boat was extremely... More

Very clean and comfortable boat. Crew was helpful, friendly, and made it fun. We had the ribeye steak dinner and it was wonderful! The live music was great and very entertaining.

Beautiful 2 hour cruise to emerald bay! Get there early to select your seat. Very well narrated along the way with the history of the lake. Money well spent!

We booked a lunch cruise, 11am, the weather was windy but not to cold. We had a very hearty lunch, chowder bowl. They offer a full bar and extensive lunch menu. As we cruised there was an informative narration of the history of Lake Tahoe. Points of interest were announced as we cruised. It was a two hour cruise, just... More

This late morning cruise leaves from the Nevada side (Zephyr Cove), crosses the lake, enters Emerald Bay, circles the island and returns to Zephyr Cove. There are a good narration and history at points along the way. Food and beverages are available for purchase or you are allowed to bring food with you.

Thank Norris C
