Perfect introduction for my 13 year old son who has never ridden before and wasn't that keen, it won't have put him off. Horses were well mannered well kept and in great condition. We were lucky to go out on a private hack just our family for one hour easy trail walking up and down dusty hill tracks with a... More

We ended up having a private ride with our guide Tucker! She was great we felt like we were ridding with a friend. The trail ride to the top view was magical!! You won't be disappointed. This was our visit to Lake Tahoe and we couldn't get enough of all the beauty it had to offer.

My husband and I ended up being the only 2 with our guide. It was so quiet and peaceful on the horses. As you get closer to the lake, it is definitely cooler. It rained on us on the way back but that was ok. Easy ride with some slopes and hills. Horses were gentle and sweet.

We had several children under and near age of 5 that took the trail ride for an affordable price. Parents were allowed to walk along side the horse to give confidence to the young riders.

I have been horse riding almost my whole life and enjoyed the ride and the view of the lake. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because, we were not offered riding hats-and that's the first time I see that at a trail ride place. It was only walking, because the trail does not allow going any faster,... More

While in Tahoe from August 9 through August 13, 2015, one of the "attractions" my 5 nieces wanted to do was go horse back riding. There are 2 main horse back riding vendors around the Lake Tahoe area - Camp Richardson Corral and Zephyr Cove Stables. We chose to go to Zephyr Cove Stables because they were 3 miles closer... This is one non forgettable ride. They do like you to make a reservation. Currently is about $50.00 per hr per person. The ride is guided and theft take you up the mountain side you get a beautiful view of the lake and the trail is beautiful, a little dusty now since there's been no rain. Those with asthma should... We had called ahead to make an appointment and made reservations for the next day at 4pm. We got there and was it was like any typical stable. We were paired with another couple and it was a very enjoyable experience. The only downfall is that our guide wasn't talkative at all, but he was so kind to take our... More
