Great place for a walk or a jog. Too bad there are lots of geese hanging out @ this location. Great place to take your child/children. If you have a little one; bring some of your old bread & feed the ducks or geese.

This is a small area, but nice for jogging or walking. Lots of birds and a nice fountain. Some seating to just sit and enjoy the peacefulness of the water. Nice safe area.

It's a mile around of a gorgeous lake with paved walkways. You'll see families on the weekends having picnics, people on lunch getting a walk in and others there just to enjoy the wildlife and beauty.

This is a good spot to eat a takeout lunch and you can park in the shade or sit on a bench and watch the birds and joggers while you do. Fun and easy.

It's a small lake and you can easily walk/jog all around it. Clean, nice park. Easy parking around. Kids' playgrounds and fenced dog park just adjacent. Family friendly.

Great park for an evening stroll. Well lit and lots of friendly dog walkers and hand in hand couples. The park is approximately one mile around with lots of free parking and bathrooms.

Great for walking and bird watching. Clean. Reno spends money on their parks and other public places. New apartments and condos all the way around. The Peppermill casino shows as background. Influential South Reno area homes surround park.

I grew up in Reno. I enjoyed how much everything has been fixed up Reno is still a nice town to live in. The new bridge on the Truckee River and the scenery around the river. I did not get to do the walk as myfriend has problems with walking.

Spent Thanksgiving at the Peppermill Resort in November. Someone mentioned there was a park/walk around a lake behind the Peppermill, and sure enough! It was 20 degrees, but we braved it and had a great walk. Other families were out taking a pre-Thanksgiving meal walk, as well. It is really pretty - get away from the casino for awhile and... More
