I had a great experience staying at the Pepper Mill Casino. I would of gave them 5 stars but I had problem with the heat in my hotel room. It never got warm so I had to call at 3:30 in the morning to have...More
Hit the casino for 2 nights here. Did ok on the pennies but could not get the quarters going at all. Waitresses were nice, do better when you tip them. Had a good time of it here. Big place, plenty of walking. Lots of newer...More
Bad experience all the way .getting to the room was exhausting and no clear signs .parking and getting to the room was taking escalator two elevators and almost like a holloween maze.the rooms view were horrible, changed room and still had bad experience.as a visitor please...More
Although their payout percentage isn't great, we did find a couple of slots that allowed us to play for a pretty long time. Sadly, they were doing carpet repair/replace remodel and they ended up taking away our favorite machines.
The casino and resort are away from the downtown area which isolates you from other restaurants and city sights. Although there is a smoke-free area in the casino, the vast majority of the space is unpleasant for those of us non-smokers. Like most big casinos,...More
I was sent to Peppermill work a work conference and was pleasantly surprised. While the restaurants are a bit pricey, the food and drinks were good everywhere we ate. The campus is so large that we didn't really need to leave for anything which was...More
We played in their smoke free area for a while, was decent size. Overall the best casino in terms of appearance in the city. We could see why it was usually rated the top casino resort in Reno, just looked so much nicer and the...More
Great food, cheap prices, especially for a casino. We had the meatloaf and the el conquistador sandwich. The portions were huge. The mash potatoes were so good I longed for more. Next time double mash, no veggies. The el conquistador is a Peppermill special and...More
They have tv playing at every bar and always have the latest sports going 24/7 so you are able to see what ever you want. If it isn’t on just ask the bartender and he will change the channel so you can watch what you want.

We stayed at the Peppermill in the West Wing for the first time this week. The room doors lock and there was a secondary bolt. There is security wandering around in the Casino and I saw Security near the hotel entrance. You need to have a key to enter the room areas from outside.
Parking lot is very well lit.
Does Graylines Tours go from Reno to Lake Tahoe? do they pick up at Peppermill Casino? Thanks

New addition to Peppermill casino open? (1 Replies)
We are visiting Reno in early July. Does anyone know if or when the new addition to the Peppermill casino will be done? Any other advice on day trips, etc. is appreciated.

It looks like Fall 2007 with the new parking garage opening a little bit earlier.
Reno Trip in July (13 Replies)
We will be coming to Reno in July for a convention. They have us booked at the Peppermill Casino. I have read the reviews here but am looking for more information. Does Nevada allow smoking in the casino's?? What restaurants are close to the casino?? What is there to do besides gamble?? Thanks!!!

Smoking, yes, but keep it to the actual gaming areas. All the restaurants are adjoining the casino, except one in the Tuscany tower. Take a bus downtown to the other casinos, the river walk, and the Reno Aces ballpark. It's fun and first-rate. Rent a car and drive up to Tahoe. This ain't Florida flatland. ;-)
