I have seen several productions here - the acoustics are great no matter where you sit. The exterior of the building makes it appear small, but once inside the theater it's a surprise to see how many people they can seat. I've seen plays, musicals and dance - regardless of the type of show, the building seems built for the... More

We have been here for several shows each year for the past 4 years. Some are local talent but most are professional traveling troupes. We have enjoyed all the shows. Mostly musicals. Sometimes live bands, sometimes recorded music. The ticket prices are quite reasonable. The design of the theatre makes almost every seat a good seat. My only complaint would... More

Saw the Nutcracker here a couple years ago when we won some tickets and, while the show was absolutely painful (the handful of guys in the audience were equally suffering), the venue was a work of art. The outside looks like a spaceship landed in downtown. If you are visiting Reno it is worth the short walk from the casinos... More

Older, but we) maintained venue. Many different types of entertainment. Plays, concerts, etc. I love a place with a big lobby where people congregate and mingle. I recommend.

My husband and I have been season ticket holders for the last 5 years. It is a wonderful night out, and the performances are terrific. If you like live entertainment, you will not be disappointed!

Don't miss any of the performances, great artists volunteering. Wish they would update the building.

The Pioneer center was built in the 1960's and is home to the Reno Philharmonic and the Broadway Comes To Reno series. The building is located in downtown Reno and is very dated compared to modern theater venues. GSR recently renovated it's showroom (used to be the MGM Grand way back in the day) and it is a much nicer... More

Everything was more that expected, for we go to many concerts, operas, and ballet.. It's easy to buy online, and be seated promptly when arriving.

The Pioneer Center was quite a wonderful surprise. Very modern and clean spacious with out being overly large. All of the seating looked to be outstanding and reasonably priced. Intermission provided snacks, soft drinks and adult beverages (each performance notes whether or not you may take drinks and snacks into the seating area. Good close parking available in the blocks... More

I have been a season subscriber to the Broadway Comes to Reno series for 10 years. The productions are varied, some better than others. The performances themselves are always good, featuring talented and professional persons. The last performance I attended of Ragtime was excellent. The Pioneer is a great little theater. There is not a bad seat in the house,... More
