We had come up to stay at the Eldorado for my birthday. The service and hospitality at the resort is wonderful. The reason for the average rating is due to the number of video poker bars that are closed (not staffed to provide drink service). At any given time while we were there only one bar with 3 machines was open to serve customers. The cocktail waitresses did the best that they could to take orders and bring drinks to the other "closed" bars and patrons gambling at the slots/machines on the floor. I wish I could say that I enjoyed myself, but trying to find an open machine was a struggle...and granted I was not there when you would consider a peak or busy time. We enjoy the Eldorado...just this trip was not as expected mostly due to COVID.

This is where I come to play black jack because they have one table with relaxed rules that suit me. The dealers and pit bosses are friendly and helpful. The smoke level is low, and that is good. The down side is that there are often sketchy people who wander in, especially late at night. This got to be particularly weird during Covid times as the sketchy people did not wear masks and the security staff had disappeared. Recommendation is to clear out before too late.

Now that Caesars, formerly HET has taken over, I see the comps here have gone down drastically. No room offers, no buffet offers, and literally $4 in comps for 6 hours of video poker play! Wake up, go to Atlantis. On regular comp days, you will get 4x that! On bonus days, 20x! Caesar's "screw the players" strategy killed Harrah's just down the block, and I see them doing the same to El Dorado. There are still good games there, but the comps stink.

I made reservations specifically because I was told I would get adjoining rooms (traveling with kids). Upon arriving to the hotel, I was told there ar me no adjoining rooms. I also asked for a non smoking room and the rooms we were assigned to both had a pungent smell of cigarette on top of a strange odor like of old furniture. The rooms did not feel clean or sanitized. Quite honestly, I was grossed out. I felt bad for making my kids sleep there. I am not from Reno and I booked at this place because it had 4 star reviews and I was paying way above the other hotels ($150/night). The hotel itself smells like cheap perfume throughout. I also didn’t see anyone sanitizing the slot machines while we played. Luckily, I carried around sanitizing wipes. The check in staff was not friendly and wouldn’t even try to accommodate my request for adjoining rooms. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The motels nearby may be cleaner than this place for $40 a night.

Eldorado Casino has one entrance on N. Sierra Street at the Valet Parking area. Patrons generally are not wearing masks which is a little scary. There is a broken drinking fountain near the basement restrooms. I requested some water and was questioned if I was playing there. That was annoying. Yes I was gambling on their slots, but when you need some water there should not be a question. Perhaps the broken drinking fountain is a building code violation.

First l have been gambling here since I was a young man.
Now my wife and I are old and BLESSED to be retired and continue to play the SLOTS at Eldorado.
Gone are the days when employees recognized you. There are still a few familiar faces employed by the Eldorado.
My wife and I always felt like family or close friends because the owners would come by and say Hello.
We are not rich people just customers who visited, dined and stayed at the Eldorado biweekly. It was our favorite place.
The experience is different, the employees remain friendly but not like in the past.
We are not able to stay and gamble because of our commitments at home.
Most of the restaurants remain closed and our favorite, the Buffet, is closed forever. We left without dining and chose to dine closer to home. I believe, we were informed that Circus Circus had a restaurant that was open. We enjoyed the day playing SLOTS and managed to break out even. That is a Win Win for us.

Gambled at Eldorado, Silver Legacy and Circus Circus, The Row. Every time we go there are a few less Video Poker Machines at the Silver Legacy. Most have been removed at the North end of the Casino. We like to play Video Poker and this makes it less attractive to go to the Row.

This one like all the others has to deal with COVID restrictions. For some reason, one doesn't feel it here. Overall, there is an open comfortable feeling to it. Casino has modern Vegas like slots,

We went to the Eldorado. This is a fun casino in the downtown area its part of the ROW. We have also enjoyed staying there for several nights.

We like their restaurants such as the Brewbrothers, Millies, and Roxy, La Strada is good for Italian Food.

I only played slots here but had a great time. They have some old school slots and I used my new Player’s Card. Super clean, helpful staff, fancy place. I wish the table games had lower limits so I could play some Blackjack. I had a nice time every time I came in this casino.
