While Mt. Rose may not be the best in vertical drop the conditions and the lack of crowds make this a great place to ski. Cannot recommend one section of the hill over another as we enjoyed the whole mountain!

Last weekend, Mt Rose offered a 2 for 1 lift tickets. Since I was alone I thought I was out of luck. The good news was that when I tried to purchase the ticket, they found someone else that was alone therefore getting me 1/2 off my lift ticket price.

Mt. Rose is a quick drive at a reasonable price when you are staying in Reno. The mountain has some nice runs for all levels, the lifts are in decent shape, although a little slow, and there is a good amount of parking. Snow tends to be a little icy in the morning from the cold and the shadows but... More

Mt Rose was a delightful surprise for me. We had to chose between diamond peak and Mt. Rose and decided to roll the dice. We were very impressed. Lines were short, lodges were very nice, and lift tickets were inexpensive. Powder happened to be GREAT that day, so that was definitely an influence. Would return without a doubt.

I have not been here for a couple of years and forgot how much I enjoy this place. Two sides of the mountain give you two totally different skiing experiences. The mountain is well groomed and everyone is very nice. 2 for Tuesday is another reason to ski here.

I always like Mt. Rose as they are high up in the mountains so we always enjoy the ride up and the view. However, the wind picked up pretty early while we were there so the lifts were all shut down by 2:50 p.m. Wished we could have stayed longer but for safety reasons, we understand. However, I was disappointed... More

Skied at mt rose 7th January & had a perfect day skiing. It was a Thursday so ladies & we got 1 female ticket for 29 dollars. We had perfect snow conditions having snowed on & off for 2 days. The area has a lovely nursery slope with a moving carpet to get beginners up the slope. Then there is... More

We love this place! Prices are reasonable for everything! We've been buying the Season Passes for our family the past few years and it works great for our family. The kids ski lessons are great for the kids as are the green lifts! Glad the have workers monitoring the tables inside now so people don't hog the tables! Can get... More

I was here for some snowboarding lessons, and it was great! The morning of I arrived at 9am, and there was some slight confusion. A staff member on the phone said to be there at 9am, while Emily behind the desk said I should have been there at 8am, and on the mountain for 9am. She was very courteous, friendly,... More

Daily lift tickets for the whole mountain are super expensive (as much as a ticket to Disneyland!), and you cannot buy a package with beginner lift tickets without a rental included. (If you buy online, you get a slight discount for day-tickets, not multi-day tickets.) I would not say that it was particularly worth it for us, who are easy-blue... More
