In a town where it is hard to find shade this place rocks. 2 mile, 6 mile and 9 mile trails. Not to much elevation. Creeks to hang out by. Good for everyone, even the little ones.

Part way up Mount Rose, this park offers some Sierra wilderness and some incredible views of the Reno valley. On a clear day, you can see forever.

We have gone on several field trips here with my younger kids. I love the hikes through this forest. A great place to take the kids and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. Pack a picnic lunch and wander.
