Where can you go when it's 20 degrees out and have as much fun with the kids as you can here. They can build, climb, create, play with other kids and they have a helpful staff to help them get it right. Even adults need help from time to time getting those projects right. I'm always amazed at how smart... More

Warning that adults will be charged for entry, not just the kids. However, it was worth it. We were there when it opened and we stayed until it closed and he did not want to leave. My son tried to go through all of the exhibits that he missed when they were trying to close because he spent hours in... More

My grandchildren ask me to take them to the Discovery Museum every couple of months. There are some exhibits that remain the same, but several new things are available for the kids to try. The Staff is always helpful with the DIY projects.

This is so much fun for kids of all ages to explore and actually learn while they play. I love that it gets their attention away from 'electronics'! I know my husband and I actually learned quite a bit too!

Fun day for the kids and it seems like I learn something new every time I go also. Can't wait until we get to go to our first event there.

This is a fun place for about an hour. Then my daughter starts to get bored. She likes the climbing structure, and some of the workshops. It would be nice of they had more imagination areas. Like a news studio or a grocery store . They focus very heavily on fish and game. Good for a distraction but now a... More

I visited after seeing the glowing reviews on TripAdvisor. I expected to see something on par with the Phoenix Science Center Arizona which has something fun for the whole family. Nothing could be further from the truth. This place is strictly for 10 years and under. Nothing to stir the imagination of older kids. Many of the exhibits did not... More

My wife and I went to see the Monster Fish exhibit. Absolutely amazing and very interesting. I wish I had know about this place when my kids were young. what a great learning environment for youngsters.

We come to Reno a few times a year to ski nearby Mt.Rose. We discovered this exploration museum on this last trip and the kids (ages 8, 6, and 4) were ecstatic! Beautifully done water play area as well as a fun climbing structure centrally located in the museum. The upper floor has exhibits and hands on creative stations. Bathrooms... More
