I can't say enough how much we enjoyed the trail ride today a SVR. Though we've lived in the LV area for quite a long time, this was an adventure that was unforgettable. Our Wrangler Dana was fantastic from start to finish, great knowledge of the history of the area and loaded with facts about the desert. High praise to our rides, Tank and Chex. We felt at home the second we arrived, the lunch after the ride was fantastic, the Ranch itself wonderful. Well worth the hour drive, we'll do it again, thanks SVR for a great day and thank you Dana for making the day perfect....!

We stayed in the Peacock tiny home on the ranch and it could not have been a more beautiful place to disconnect from the world. The stars that night were UNBELIEVABLE. We went to Idle Spurs Tavern for some cold beer and food from the food truck outside (believe it’s closed around 7pm on a Monday)!

My family went for a trail ride with wrangler Dana. It was so much fun and we learned a lot about horses. Dana is a wonderful guide and very accommodating. If you want a real Western experience, this is the place. They have bulls, horses, chickens, pigs, and goats. I can’t say enough about how great it is for adults and children too. We will be back. Thanks again for a unique experience!

My husband, son & I stayed there as we were traveling and the place was terrible. Their food wasn’t cooked through, some of it was old and dry. Their trail rides weren’t amusing at all, except the horse rides. My room had bugs, woke up with bites all over and I heard a couple of rats. The management team were all over the place, didn’t have any order to theirselves & some of the workers had attitude issues. I strongly suggest to find another place to stay at. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!

I am very disappointed with the wedding coordinator and her husband at this venue. I began my wedding planning in April for a May 2017 wedding. I found this venue and just fell in love with it from the beginning as the feel for the wedding I was planning was completely nontraditional and was all set to go, but then the "ifs" and "buts" began. I feel was very patient and compromising with them but I started to feel as if I was being pushed to have a more traditional wedding which was not what I was going for. I felt if I ever disagreed with what their views or thinking was the price just kept going up, which i was willing to pay since I loved the venue so much, but I didn't want them to do the entire planning as they didn't understand what I wanted. They don't seem to understand that this was MY wedding and I wanted to follow traditional Mexican theme. I kept getting a delay with the contract and finally I just became fed up with them and decided to cancel the entire wedding. I am very disappointed as I was completely in love with the venue but the staff is very underwhelming. I hope the Boss Lady reads this as I attempted asking for her at one point and was informed that I could not speak to her as she does not tend to her clients. Very disappointed.

We booked a sunset ride through Tony at Sandy Valley Ranch after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. Tony was very helpful and after a bit organisation the evening was booked.

We arrived at Sandy Valley Ranch a tad late after a slow trip out of Vegas (sorry Tony) and we had a warm welcome from 'Frosty' our Rancher for the evening. After signing a waiver (obvious reasons), Frosty offered us some drinks and then we were shown to our horses for the evening. My Wife's horse was Luna and mine was Tank. We explained to Frosty that we had not ridden in about 20-30 years and were complete novices so we asked for a gentle ride around the ranch. This was not a problem and we both hugely enjoyed a slow canter with Frosty and his daughter. Seeing this part of the world on horseback with a sunset is something we will never forget. When we got back to the ranch, we were treated to a feast for an evening meal! It was one of the best burgers I have ever had!! We were supplied with drinks we wanted and after dinner Frosty treated us to a campfire with marshmallows. Absolute magic!!

Overall this ranch is worth the trip from the hustle and bustle of Vegas! Sandy Valley is basically an hours run in the car, but it is 100 years from Sin City! If you fancy escaping for a day or evening and you would like being a Cowboy or Cowgirl for the day, then Sandy Valley should be high on your list!

As the tag line reads '45 minutes and 100 years from Las Vegas'. Perfect description of this beautiful working ranch on the state line with California.

From the moment we were picked up from the Bellagio by Tony Giacomo, we knew this was going to be an unforgettable experience. Tony was very friendly and informative about the ranch and pointed out sights of interest during our drive from the Strip, even allowing us to stop for a photo of the incredible scenery on the way.

On our arrival we were met and welcomed to the ranch and shown a brief safety video before being given a tour of the ranch and been lead to our horses for the trip.

I was given Apache and my wife Was allocated Shanie. Both horses were immaculate and had a lovely temprement which was great for a novice rider like me!!

The ride itself was an hour through the desert scrub with the sun setting over the snow capped Nevada mountains with AJ, the ranch dog, in tow.

After the trail ride you enter a large arena where you (and the guide wrangler) herd several steer into a pen for the chance to feel like a real cowboy/girl.

We were then given time to scrub up before dinner which consisted of Ribs, baked potato, barbeque beans, coleslaw and corn bread served with Champagne, followed by ice cream. The ribs were fantastic and fell off the bone.

Full up, we took a few last minute photos of the sunset before the drive back to Vegas.

If you fancy something completley different than the bright lights and gambling, then make sure you visit Sandy Valley ranch.

We traveled to Las Vegas in September and four of us took the cowboy for a day trip.
Well We have been going to Vegas for 10 years now and this is the best day we have ever had.
Louis took care of us wonderfully. We rode the horses, we ate great food and had a super time.
I would recommend this to everyone. Even if you do not want to go to Vegas you need to go !!!! so you can enjoy the ranch and its many activities.
Tony collected us from our hotel made sure we were all ok all day and delivered us back safe and sound.
So wonderful !!!!! Thanks to the team who made our day Brilliant.

My wife and I needed a getaway a she found this place. So glad she did! Staff is amazing. Luis took us on a 90 minute horseback ride and would highly recommend him as a guide. The "Boss Lady" Terry is a sweetheart and made us feel right at home. Don't miss out on the cowboy breakfast either! Also amazing. We stayed in the Hummingbird Tiny House that had everything we needed. Our only regret is that we only stayed one night. Thank you again SVR!we will be back!

This was my second trip to sandy Valley when staying in Vegas. Love this place, everyone is so welcoming and the horses are well schooled. I ride in England so it's fun to come here and play cowgirl and pen cattle and do something so totally different! Frosty was a great host and looked after me and made sure I got to do everything I wanted to do. Thank u I'll be back!!
