Short drive from the main road to a set of metal stairs to see the petroglyphs. Nice, but better petroglyphs on the Mouse's Tank hike.

The 4,000+ year old petroglyphs are a mystery. We saw them the morning after a rain when they were easily viewable. Can’t say enough bad things about those who defiled the site with graffiti, though.

By the time we arrived, we were to tired to climb the three stories of stairs to see the atlatl rock, but did enjoy the view from the parking lot. At the same time, there was a large herd of bighorn sheep nearby that were...More

This site is near the entrance from Vegas. And this site is next to the parking lot and up some stairs. So at the end of a day of hiking Fire Wave and White Dome, this is a perfect stop to end the day with....More

Loved this stop at Valley of Fire, as there are plenty of Ancestral Pueblo "Anasazi" petroglyphs (not Aztec) on this rock outcropping. They have a metal staircase up to some of the petroglyphs which are unfortunately partial blocked by the protective barrier they have up...More

Loved this site because of the ancient petrogylphs. I'm sure the Aztecs came from this region into Mexico.

One of the first turns on the left as you enter the park from the interstate there is lots of parking. A huge metal stair case takes you up to see the rock paintings. These are stunning and so interesting to look at. There are...More

A cool site indeed. Inside Nevada's first State park. Lots of Pyroglyphics on the stones there, they tell a story that we probably don't really understand. Its just inside the park, so don't miss it. Fun, would repeat.
