Spent a very nice day the the valley of fire, this was one of our stops. Nice sturdy stairs make it easy to get up to the petroglyph and it is well worth the climb!!!!! Beautiful scenery throughout the park and so worth the drive!

Good place to stop and walk up the metal stairs to see the beautiful petroglyphs. There is also a very good view of the park.

This State Park is well worth the drive to get to it. Amazing views. Plenty of hiking. Make sure you take water.

It is a very short walk to the staircase that leads up to the Petroglyphs. The Petroglyphs themselves are very well defined and interesting. Unfortunately, the close access to them has made it possible for some lowlife scum to scrawl some graffiti near them which is very unfortunate. Overall, it is well worth the 10 minutes it takes to ascend and descend the stairs and get some phots.

This area was not crowded and we were there on a sunny day in the 60's. So many cool things to look at. I made the climb up while the dog waited below. Well worth a climb up to look at the Petroglyphs.

This was one of the most amazing features in Valley of Fire State Park. Of course the petroglyphs are fascinating and spark your imagination as you try to figure out the messages within. But most miss my favorite rock formation. Once you reach the top platform on Atlatl rock, go to the far right, then turn and face the far side of that platform. The most amazing face is right there!

The 4,000+ year old petroglyphs are a mystery. We saw them the morning after a rain when they were easily viewable. Can’t say enough bad things about those who defiled the site with graffiti, though.

Loved this stop at Valley of Fire, as there are plenty of Ancestral Pueblo "Anasazi" petroglyphs (not Aztec) on this rock outcropping. They have a metal staircase up to some of the petroglyphs which are unfortunately partial blocked by the protective barrier they have up to keep people from messing with them. These are phenomenal petroglyphs, but the best ones are around the corner as you walk from the parking lot past the metal stair case. Keep going around the outcropping and you will see what I mean...outstanding ancient art!

The petroglyphs are super cool to see and think about their history. The rest of the park is pretty but basic compared to nearby National parks

Must climb several metal steps to see these petroglyphs, but it's worth seeing. It's amazing these have lasted as long as they have. This is a MUST see.
