It’s a pretty nice park. Lots of fun time for children. I really liked the mini waterfall and there are sprinkles for children to wet wet. Just don’t feed the ducks. Once you feed one the others come following… kind of hard to enjoy a meal with so many ducks walking near you waiting for a peace of food.

We were looking for a place to walk our dog, relax and show our son some animals. This place was the ticket. It was small but quiet. The waterfall is beautiful and the sounds of the water is so relaxing, drowning out the traffic. I found it peaceful. There were turtles, geese, ducks, etc and it was fun to watch them. My son loved it. They have lots of parking, restrooms and a gated playground. Be careful for the geese droppings but otherwise we really enjoyed this little oasis in the middle of the desert and suburbs.

Discovery nature, play in the sand or just cool off in the splash area!

This park is located about 30 minutes from the Las Vegas strip. Or 5 minutes from the Aliante Hotel and Casino, located in North Las Vegas.

There is a dinosaur themed kids play area, along with a giant sand box and water splash area.

As for "Nature"....... there are turtles, geese, and ducks.

Tips:
It's Free.
Bring towels if the kids are going into the splash area.
Bring bottle water, hats and sunglasses.
Bread for feeding the ducks.
Ice cream shop, subway, pizza, grocery store are located in the
shopping plaza across the street.

Directions from the strip - Take I-15 north about 20-25 minutes, to the 215 beltway.
Head west about 10 more minutes and get off on Aliante Parkway. Turn left, drive over the freeway, and it is on the left hand side.

If you have kids and want to get away from the Las Vegas Strip, this nature discovery park is a solid play.

Filthy and unsafe. When I went there were Gerson Park gang members hanging out here. There playground area reeked of urine and was covered in mystery stains. I've never been to a dirtier park, I'll never take my kids back here.

This is my grandchildren's favorite neighborhood parks. They call it the "dinosaur park" because there's a huge dinosaur in the middle of it complete with sand pit where they love to dig for dinosaur bones. As of Apr 9, they are in the process of updating the play ground, but that should be completed by early summer.

It has a wonderful walking path that goes around a beautiful pond with cascading waterfall that is full of ducks, turtles and geese. We even saw a crane there the other day. In early summer you might see baby ducks and baby turtles too.

In the summer months there is a small water park area where little ones can run through the water an cool off. You can bring your own picnic or there are several fast food restaurants in the area where you can purchase some "picnic" food.

My kids LOVE the "dinosaur" park! Super large, fun playsets and they love the big sandpit. I love it because it is enclosed with a fence so no worries about your kid wandering off. Surrounding the playground is a beautiful water feature with waterfalls, ponds, fish, and ducks everywhere! Perfect combination of nature and fun.

Lots of room for picnicking and sports, but be careful around the lake because of the ducks and the large amount of duck poop. The dinosaur park is extra fun for kids, but doesn't have quite enough shade in the summer.

Dinosaur bones, waterfall, and a splashpad makes this place unique. Nice for a stroll too. A little too much bird poop.

Nice place to stop by, especially if you have kids. Not exactly a "Nature Discovery Park" if you live near nature or discovery opportunities. Basically a nice city park with a pond that attracts birds and turtles, and a playground near the pond. Still, very restful oasis in the desert in general and Las Vegas in particular where such things are not common.

Very scenic park with nice water features and playground for kids. Only issue is it is overpopulated with geese and ducks that leave their droppings all over the place - so watch your step! Good for dog walking too.
