By far my favorite place to go and get away from it all !!! No wifi or cellular service. Nice to go for a hike or just relax and drive. Only 49 minute drive to beautiful snow capped mountains. Check out the ski lodge in Lee Canyon while you're there, you won't be disappointed 😊

The drive from Las Vegas is not all that far, and once one turns off Hwy 95, the drive is beautiful, when you get into the mountains. We went up in February and there was a good deal of snow on the ground. While I appreciate the fact that they don't want parking everywhere it was annoying to see signs... More

I frequently find myself in Las Vegas and decided to branch out from the main city to find something to do. I had read about Mt. Charleston and the hiking trails so I headed out that way. It is about 45 minutes from downtown Las Vegas and about 15 to 20 degrees cooler than the strip in the summer! It... More

This is a wonderful scenic drive in the mountains on the northwest side of Las Vegas. We took a chance on the weather and drove up on a Sunday in November when it was rainy in the city. When we arrived on the mountain, the clouds parted and we were treated to rainbows and dramatic stormy views of the desert... More

This was a real highlight on my last trip to Las Vegas and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting!!! We had such a wonderful escape ( a total of about 4 hrs including lunch) we visited Mt. Charleston and Lee Canyon and had lunch at Mt Charleston lodge. It was really an amazing little journey with views that were... More

A new visitors center named Spring Mountain Visitor Gateway has been built on Highway 157 just before the 158 turn off. The Center is small, beautiful, and informative. Some of the highlights not to be missed are the etched artwork that bursts into color when you hold the view finder in front of your eyes, the beautiful landscape, and the... More

The weather there was very cool and fresh after the heat of Las-Vegas! The mountaing were so beautiful!!!!! The views were astonishing! We felt that we were in postal card! We shot so many photos there! And there you can go on picnic, but it will cost you some entrance fee. And there we walked in the forest! There was... More

Nice getaway and some various hikes with different levels of difficulty involved. Depending on the time of year you visit, wintertime always for snowboarding and visits to the ski lodge and summertime is a great to time to visit as a great escape from the Vegas heat. The lodges at the top are wonderful to rent and a nice restaurant... More

We needed to kill some time before our flight home, so we drove 50 minutes from the strip to the Mount Charleston Visitor Center, which was very informative about the area and how they try to make a small footprint on the land. We filled our bottles at the water station (even one for the pups), and set out on... More
