I played this course on September 2nd and it was one of the funnest rounds of golf I have ever played(been playing for 20 years). Sure it helped that I shot even par my 1st time around :) However, it seems like a lot of people in previous reviews are uninformed when it comes to course conditions and the benefits/neccesities... When we showed up at the bag drop the staff welcomed us to Wolf Creek(always friendly). We have played here before. Straight away, we were told that they were preparing to over seed the course. We were surprised at how well the ball sat up in the fairways with the work going on. The greens were in great shape for... More

Played last week. What a disappointment. This place is highly overrated. A beautiful setting with potential that is not realized. Practice range is too short to hit a driver. Sand traps were hard-packed. No gps or other visual assistance as to where to play your shots. (Scorecard pictures are too small to be of value.) Although the greens were in... More

We appreciate your comments and opinions Jim. This is a challenging time for a world class golf operation like Wolf Creek to manage the expectations of guests. We do our absolute best to notify all guests that make tee times that we are prepping for over seed which is basically growing in an entire course. Unlike other courses that just... More

Played this course Aug 31 and as said transitioning from summer to winter grass so conditions not great at all. Biggest issue is the Ridiculous elevation changes. Pretty views of the hills/buttes around but design just stupid. If you like holesdesigned to roll into ponds like #12 - I think par 5 which both tee shots hit fairway and ended... More

Thank you for coming out and playing Wolf Creek. We appreciate your business. I am sorry to hear that you did not enjoy the course. This is a championship course with some tricky shots and for a few guests it takes a few times to learn how to play it. In prepping for over seed the turf is mown down... More

wolf creek is rated the number 71 course you can play. not hardly, the current condition is brown and all the greens have hundreds of unfixed balls marks. I asked the staff why the course was in bad shape and the reply was " you came to play at the wrong time of the year". Well now, shouldn't they pro... More

We appreciate your comments and your opinions Jim. Thank you so much for the kind words on the layout, beauty and challenge of the course as we close down for three weeks to reseed the entire course wall to wall. We wish we didn't have to go through this extensive and expensive process every year, but in this climate all... More

One of the best courses I have played. The placement of the tees was very challenging. If you are traveling though Mesquite I highly recommend playing this course, you will not be disappointed.

Due to the timing of our trip to the USA to celebrate my sons 21st, we played at the end of August, just before their maintenance period. When we booked the tee times we were warned that the course would not be at it's best and the rack rates for the round reflect this.Whilst there were some brown spots, the course... Played one week prior to their annual re-seeding. Nice greens but all fairways had been scalped by mowers and brown...playable but not very appealing. We have played rounds of golf here in past years and always greeted by very friendly employees, cannot say the the same on this visit ...will not return.

Thank you for your comments Bob. We appreciate all comment especially the kind remarks on the greens. This is a challenging time in the golf shop trying to make sure every guest understands that we are transitioning from bermuda grass to our winter rye and what that means before they make their tee time. I am very concerned about the... More

The staff is very friendly. They give you a cooler on your cart with unlimited water bottles through out the course which was great as it was 106. This is an amazing golf course!
